About a month or so ago, my daughter Kayla dropped off a quilt that she wanted me to machine quilt for her (no, I don’t machine quilt for a business) but I’ve been know to machine quilt for my daughter Kelli once in a while so fair is fair and to keep the peace, I machine quilted Kayla’s.
It is gorgeous!  It’s all brushed cottons.  I love the colors….everything is just perfect.
The back is a mumbo-jumbo of leftovers but it’s cute too!
I don’t know what pattern she used, or where she got the fabric. Â You’ll have to check her blog, Ruth and Revae, later this week and she can fill you in on all that information.
After seeing this quilt it is making me think that I want to make “Short Story” in the large size as my Schnibble for next month…brushed cottons, in plaids….but…my stash doesn’t include enough for a quilt like Kayla’s.
Speaking of fabric stashes….
here’s my stash report….
No fabric in…
Backing fabric 0f 6 yards out! Â Come back later this week to see the quilt I finished that used up the backing fabric.
It’s a beauty!
It’s lovely!! If the quilt could talk it would tell you it’s “happy”. Just looking at it makes one smile.
Very cute!! How fun to be able to quilt your daughter’s tops!
I love this quilt! I am bookmarking her site to get all the scoop on it.
I love this quilt! And the backing — what a great idea! But did you have any trouble quilting through all those seams front and back? I’ve been told it’s not an easy thing to do????? But I’d give it a shot if it isn’t too hard on the machine. What quilting pattern? Ditch? Or overall all-something?
