Try it on Tuesday: Liberty Love

C&T Publishing sent me a copy of Liberty Love by Alexia Marcelle Abegg    to review.  I have to say that I have heard some hype about this book via Red Pepper Quilts and Film in the Frig blogs as well as a whole Liberty Love Pinterest Page.  There is a Flickr page for Liberty Love too.

The main quilt that everyone is loving is the Marcella Medallion quilt.  I have to admit after seeing all the different variations via Flickr and Pinterest, I love it too.

Liberty Love: 25 Projects to Quilt and Sew Featuring Liberty of London Fabrics: Amazon.co.uk: Alexia Marcelie Abegg: Books

The book is FULL of projects.

There are projects that aren’t quilts too…ipod or Kindle covers.

Even clothing patterns….

and bag patterns.

I’ve been wanting to make a medallion quilt.  In fact, making one is on my bucket list.  Even though I write and tell you about other projects in the book, I am still stuck on the medallion quilt…I really like it lots!!

Back to the review….there are lots and lots of projects in the book and they vary from beginner to advanced.  It’s a good bang from your buck if you like sewing other things besides quilts too.

Sadly, I only have my ebook copy and not one to give away.  Update!!  I do have and ebook copy to give away.  Leave a comment here and we’ll pick a winner next week.

Oh and if you are looking for a chance to win a $100 gift card that Poise and BlogHer are sponsoring, you can find that on our blog here.

  8. I love the spools quilt in this book. The spools have just the right proportions to look realistic and would be a great way to “document” your scraps.
