It’s the time. Â It’s the place to announce the winner of the Quiltmaker’s 100 Block Magazine.
I hope you had fun roaming the internet to find quilt block designers and their blogs. Â I know I sure love hunting around and finding blogs that might be of interest to me.
As part of our giveaway we asked that readers tell if they have ever made a quilt for donation. Â WOW. Â So many of you have….Hats off to you!! Â Many also noted that they are new to quilting and one day hope to be able to donate. Â I have said it before and will say it again and again…Quilters are so generous!
Sadly we’re only picking two names for winners. Â The first prize is coming from my daughter Kelli and I. Â The winner will get a copy of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks AND a copy of American Patchwork and Quilting’s 2017 Calendar that we have a quilt featured in.
Â
That winner is…Gladys Wahl.
Gladys writes, “Every other year I have taken 200 – 250, wheel chair, lap , or twin to the Veterans home in Mardhalltown, IA, Last year was the 3rd delivery, making the total 730 quilts. Â My husband was a Marine and loves the Marshalltown facility. Â Thanks for all you do”
The next name drawn will get a copy of  Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks.  That will be sent out by Quiltmaker.  That winner is….
Peggy Hendrick. Â Peggy wrote, “My cousin’s granddaughter had cancer a few years ago…they had a benefit for her and I donated a quilt and some other smaller items to be raffled off…”
Thanks to the many of you who stopped by and left a comment.
Thanks to Quiltmaker for including us in the fun…and thanks to all you readers who are so generous with your time and resources!
Wow! What a small world…I believe the winner, Gladys, is my dad’s cousin. I didn’t know anyone else in the family quilted!
Gladys is a member of the Stashbusters Online group. She is so prolific in her quilt projects that we joke that Gladys has 2 Clocks to sew by= 48 hours in one “Gladys Day”!
Congratulations, Gladys!
