Kelli and I are kind of silly. Â We either like scrappy quilts, quick quilts, or old traditional quilts. Â On our latest adventure in being published we designed something that falls into the quick quilt category.
I know people are often looking for a way to make a quick gift or add a quick seasonal decoration to their home. Â We came up with this….We made ours with two jelly rolls-one red, one white.
(photo courtesy of All People Quilt). Â Wouldn’t this be fun to make up and have for Christmas, bring it out again for Valentines Day and again for 4th of July? Â It’s actually very versatile.
The people at Quilts and More made it up in another color option. Â What do you think?
This one is scrappy and I really like it. Â I can totally see making it with recycled shirts….what a great quick guy quilt. Â Here’s a fun fact, they are offering the pattern on their website for free. Â You can find it here. Â It’s always fun for us to see the different color way that the publishers come up with.
I spotted a copy of the magazine at my grocery store…here I am with a copy of the magazine. Â I know it’s silly but it still doesn’t seem real that we have things published until I actually see the magazine at the news stand.
Yep…there I am sporting my LuLaroe wild print leggings….My grocery list is covering up part of the cover. Â Oh well. Â That’s the real live me…and that’s what the cover of the magazine so you know what to look for if you want to purchase a copy.
The quilt made the rounds and ended up at Quilt Market. Â How cool is that? Â They asked if we minded if we didn’t get it back right away..of course we didn’t. Â We love the honor of having a quilt there. Â As soon as the quilt gets here, we’ll show it off in another blog post.
Today we’re sharing our finished quilt at  Confessions of a Fabric Addict and Crazy Mom Quilts.
Love the quilt design. Love the colors in the blue the best. Really like that it is a easy design.
Congratulations being published again ! Sometimes we need easy and quick. Love it.
Okay can I say that I love this pattern and seeing it done both ways really inspires me on lots of color possibilities. Love those leggings, they would be an awesome fabric for quilting!
WOW! I love the red and white one! It makes a great zig-zag, while the blue one doesn’t…just looks like bricks. Not that there’s anything wrong with bricks…but the zig-zag is sooo very eye catching!
Very fun quilt. Congrats!
I’ve started a quilt for Quilts of Valor. I’m thinking this quilt would be neat if the red and blue were combined. I’ll be keeping my eye open for that new magazine too.
Way to go !!!! with your wild leggings and a magazine publish…. Love that you gave a picture of the cover helps this old quilter find it.
I love both versions, but I really love the crisp fresh look of your quilt.
I love, love the red and white quilt—a great quilt….You look just too cute in those leggings……perfect for you….
Congratulations!
Congratulations! You two did it again ~ impressive quilt ~ published & also displayed at Houston! I love your red version & would love to make it now!!
Well, I have to say I like your red and white one best. It is well-defined and sharp; I like the two-color comb, and the fact that it is made of only two jelly rolls makes it fast and easy. Congrats on another publishing!
