I decided to put one of my UFO quilts on the frame. Â It’s been awhile since I paid any attention to UFO’s at all.
I have several of Kelli’s quilts here and and two of Kayla’s, along with a couple of mine that all need to be quilted but my Smith Mountain Morning was my pick to work on.
I spent most of Thursday working on it in between some drama and some babysitting.
I am using a brown thread on top and doing some Baptist Fan designs. Â Typically I don’t alternate the direction of the fans but this time I was wanting to expand my repertoire and gave it a try. Â So far, I am really happy with it and will definitely be doing it again.
Between the Hobbs 80/20 batting and the many seams in this quilt it didn’t lay down the best as I was quilting. Â Nothing awful but lately I haven’t been quilting quilts that are so heavily pieced…and I’ve been using Warm and Natural.
Today’s mission, get this quilt bound. Â You can bet that I will be doing the debate trying to decide if I should bind in blue or brown. Â I think it will all depend on which color I have enough of.
We’ll be hooking up with all these fun places……Confessions of a Fabric Addict, Link a Finish Friday, Freedom Fridays, and Crazy Mom Quilts.
This is a very pretty quilt. I love the colors!
Nice quilt. I have a blue & brown one, too, which my husband loves.
Have you thought of binding with two colors?
