What Kelli is Reading: Ward D

My daughter Kelli typically reads books that I would also read…in this case, I’m not so sure. This book, Ward D by Freida McFadden is listed as a “gripping, psychological thriller” and from the review, I think they might be right.

I think Kelli was attracted to this one as she is a third-shift nurse and this is a story about a gal working third shift on a psychiatric ward.

Here is Kelli’s review:
This is a crazy wild thriller that is a complete mind twist and leaves you hanging and still clearly confused. She did it again and had me stumped—I will happily admit she tricked me again!!

Here is what Amazon had to say:
Medical student Amy Brenner is spending the night on a locked psychiatric ward.

Amy has been dreading her evening working on Ward D, the hospital’s inpatient mental health unit. There are very specific reasons why she never wanted to do this required overnight rotation. Reasons nobody can ever find out.

And as the hours tick by, Amy grows increasingly convinced something terrible is happening within these tightly secured walls. When patients and staff start to vanish without a trace, it becomes clear that everyone on the unit is in grave danger.

Amy’s worst nightmare was spending the night on Ward D
.”

Amazon readers gave the book 4.3 stars. Kelli said she would agree. She has read other books by this author and she said that she is pretty consistent with her books and so far, no duds.

As I was writing this, I saw that this book is available for free for Kindle Unlimited users. You can click here to learn more about that. You can find the book HERE.

I just finished McFadden’s book ‘The Perfect Son’. I stayed up late to finish last night. I’ve read several of her books and each one has been good. Looking forward to Ward D.
