Our daughter Kelli was home over the weekend. In between, church, the high school play and a birthday party, we managed to get some sewing done on the Perkiomen Daydreams quilts. Look!!
It’s an AMAZING quilt!! It’s not quite finished. We have three more rows to go on this one…then another whole quilt. We have had so much fun working on these…check us out here, here, here and here.
Typically when I show hubby a quilt he says…”cool”. Not this time. He said, “now that one I really like….that one is really cool”.
After working on this quilt much of Saturday morning and into the afternoon, we gave up when we ran out of blocks and started on a wool project. Here’s what Kelli was working on.
Here’s what I am working on…
I am stuck until I get to a quilt shop that has wool. I need an orange-ish piece of wool for the basket. All the letters are cut out. I have the fabric all ready for the other pieces…just not the basket. UGH!!
Kelli hasn’t worked with wool before so she is so excited about how everything is looking. She is making a pattern I have had for a long time and have been wanting to make…it’s making me more that project up the list. Speaking of lists…Kelli and I are going to challenge you all with the Bucket List Challenge for 2012. Start thinking about some projects you’ve always wanted to do…We’ll give you the details in the upcoming weeks. We just wanted you to start thinking about quilts that are on your bucket list.
To see what everyone else is working on, head on over to Patchwork Times.
That is AMAZING — didn’t you just start it? :-)
WOW! Truly cool. It is amazing how fast you guys got the together, WOW
You and Kelli make an incredible team!! I love your little wool project. Working with wool is so much fun! Have a great week! :)

What a beautiful quilt!
awesome! It looks just incredible.
Love the idea of a bucket list!
Perkiomen Daydreams is really a WOW! The wool work looks intriguing. Bucket list huh, I’ve already got a couple written down for ’12. Sounds like a fun challenge. Great way to get out of the doldrums!
Wow! That is just amazing!
I can see why your husband thought this quilt was really cool because it IS! I can’t believe how fast you and Kelli put this one together. I love the wool projects both of you are working on. I’ve seen the pattern for the one Kelli is doing but never thought about doing it in wool. Great idea.
WOW! Simply jaw-dropping gorgeous! This is one spectacular quilt! Love the wool projects – I have a kit for the one you’re working on. It has been aging since I bought it last April, may be time to get started.
that is very cool, love the movement. I have tried wool and it leaves me feeling, eehhh.
You two have been sewing your little hearts out!!! Your DH is so right…VERY cool.
I get the same comments from my DH most times. Your quilt is coming along great. Orange wools can be hard to find. I recently purchased some for a doll I’m making and have scraps. Let me know if I can help. Sandi
AWESOME, Blossom!! I was so afraid no one would WANT to do that quilt..LOL! But I love the challenge of small pieces and the repeat of pattern and the whole ZEN thing of having it all come together! WHoowhooo!
Absolutely breath-taking!
Wow! That IS very cool! And such a lot of sewing!
That IS really cool. lol I love it! And the woolies, too. So fun!
Wow!!! That is amazing! Where can the pattern be found?
Your Perkioman is really perky!! You are the poster girl for Bonnie’s designs!
I love Lori Smith’s “Fit To Frame” series. I’ve got a couple that I hope will be a series of mini quilts next year.
And you’ve totally got my attention with that Bucket List Challenge for 2012. In fact I had to run and look at my list–yup I already know just what I’d work on. Looking forward to this one for next year!
