…and just like that, the calendar flipped into May. This year is speeding along.
I’m so happy I was able to move several projects in my sewing room along.
I got my John Deere 4 patch quilt blocks ironed. I need about 100 more.

I got more strip sets cut…and put together 120 more 4 patches. Now that they are done, I can work on the letters.

I’m so happy I got this project further along.
I worked on my Twirling Around Quilt. I got the center of the quilt done.

You might remember this is based on a Bonnie Hunter quilt. I got borders one and two on too.

Then ironed…

I decided to do mine opposite from Bonnie’s quilt. She did a pink inner border and green outer.

It’s loaded on the longarm. I didn’t let any dust settle on this one!!
I cut out the binding and prepped it, too. I’m so happy. I used up the entire piece of fabric except for one strip. That’s going in my strip box. I love using up all of the fabric.

I got the longarming done…

I even got it bound.

I am super happy with this quilt. I am so glad I modified the pattern. I’ll tell you more about that in the final blog post I do.
Curiosity got the best of me. I put two of the Midnight Flight blocks together. That’s two done, 34 more blocks to go. I counted it out, and there are 88 pieces in each block. Holy WOW!

I also did a few more star blocks.

I was busy in the sewing room this week. I’m so glad I was able to make some progress…and even happier I finished the Twirling Around quilt. It’s always nice to check one off!!

You really did get a lot done recently and all so beautifully scrappy.
You’re a whirlwind! So much progress!
Your Twirling Around Quilt is gorgeous – I love your colors.
John Deere is coming along nicely.
88 Pieces in each block? Wow! But it’ll be beautiful when done!
Love and prayers

You made great progress on UFOs and pushing on to finish your Twirling Around quilt. I am looking forward to seeing your other projects as you work on them and bring them to a finish. I am glad you are feeling well enough to cut, sew, press, assemble, and longarm!
