I finally feel like I am making progress. Here’s what the double wedding ring quilt looks like.
ROWS…Honest to goodness ROWS!! In fact, two rows that are sewn together. The only thing better than that would be if more rows were sewn and more sewn together but I am happy with the progress. I have an idea now of what it will look like and I know that I can actually do it.
If you are like me and have always wanted to make a double wedding ring quilt but were afraid to…honestly, it’s not hard…just time consuming… A LOT OF PINNING!! I also would say that I don’t think I would tackle it without this Double Wedding Ring Template. It has made the whole experience go much more smoothly. Someone asked if I wish I had a Accuquilt Go to cut it out and I don’t. This template set has holes in the templates for marking…being able to mark has been very beneficial.
When my son and fiance original suggested these colors, I wasn’t sure if I would like it as it is far from traditional colors but I must admit…I do like it. I like it lots. Hopefully next week I’ll have lots more progress to show. Dare I hope to have a finished top?? We went to a wedding in Minnesota over the weekend and I got lots pinned.

Lovely quilt. It is original and will be very special to the newlyweds. Just think of what future generations of quilters will say about how unique it is.
Oh my, Jo. This quilt is gorgeous and SO much work. I’ve made two small DWR quilts (3×4) and told myself I would never do another. Now I’m rethinking that statement.
i’ve got my template set ordered, and it should be in the shop on Wednesday. Looks like you’re doing a great job on this quilt!!
Beautiful progress – love the colors:)
Jo, your double wedding ring is coming along nicely! Love the colors.

Looks great, Jo! This is going to be a beautiful quilt. And yes, I love the color choices, too!
Absolutely awesome!
I love the color combo
Oh, I like it lots, too – the colors are wonderful.
Gorgeous.
Fabulous! And you have the perfect timing for the big DWR quilting challenge by the NYC Modern Quilt Guild – they even give you time until the end of the year;-)
What a lovely quilt. That is going to be spectacular when finished. I need to dig out my started one from years ago.
Looking sweet! Yes you can do it, and it will be a treasure. I think that it is one of the most beautiful quilt patterns. ever.
It is beautiful Jo!!! It is so special that the colorway is modern yet traditional too….
Oh, that is just great. Of course I am an Auburn fan so I think the colors are perfect. :-)
