What I’m Working On…

The double wedding ring quilt is still making progress but it’s slow progress.

I sure am glad that I started it when I did.  I am bound and determined to finish it before the wedding.  With how I am going so far, I am going to have just stop everything and simply sew for two days straight.

This week doesn’t look like I am going to get much time again….

When Kayla was home she marked the rest of the pieces that weren’t marked yet and she did a lot of ironing.  I counted wrong so Kelli cut more pieces the project.  I sure am glad the girls are helping a little too.  This week I am going to order some backing fabric…and try to get the rest of the melons sew..but I said that last week too.

  1. This is going to be a beautiful quilt! What a great way to start a marriage. However, you just might want to give the next lucky couple the opportunity to pick the colors but NOT the pattern! Now, how can I find some nice, unsuspecting quilter to make ME a really intricate quilt?!
Also, I am so incredibly jealous of all the daughters you have to help you quilt! One of mine is in Japan teaching right now and the other is away at college. I CONSTANTLY harass them about not being around to help me like your girls are!
    Have a great day!

  2. Love your double wedding ring, I am quilting my first one right now. Lots of work but I am unhappy with the quilting design I found for the middle section, I wanted something flasher and the one I found is a bit plain. Might have to look for another one.

  3. What a lovely project, it is very hard to make! I made a smaller quilt to test the pattern and it was so hard. Your quilt is gonna be awesome
