I am still working on the double wedding ring quilt for Buck and Jen’s wedding. I made progress this week….and progress is good. Over the next two weeks I am hoping that I’ll have a row or two together. Right now, all the first arcs are attached to the melon-all the second arcs are sewn.
I have to bind my UFO #6. I got bogged down looking for binding fabric. I have 16″ of the fabric below that I want to use but I need about a 1/2 yard more. I still haven’t found any despite my efforts and Ila’s efforts. I think I am ready to just find a different brown. That means another trip to town…hopefully that will happen this week.
There’s my poor quilt waiting for binding…
Last week the patching pile was conquered. Three pair of pants, a pair of shorts and a scarf are all back in working condition.
I got notes from two different blog readers that they are sending quilts for charity projects. That means lots of quilting to do….which I am excited about BUT…all of that is on hold until I get two projects with deadlines done. Thankful Kelli is working hard on both of those.
Lastly, I am scheduled to talk to the quilting guild and teach a class in Manchester, Iowa on Thursday. It’s a busy week!!

You might want to try this idea for your binding (the strips are cut narrower and include a second fabric): http://www.52quilts.com/search?q=Susie%27s+Magic+Binding
