Well the Double Wedding Ring for my son and his soon to be wife is taking up most of my time right now.
I got the one block done last week and it was enough for me to feel confident that I can sew it. That meant this week I needed to do some more cutting and sewing. I have all 127 arcs for one of the sides of the mellon sewn. Now this week I plan to tackle the other side of the arcs. They are mirror images so a couple times I have had to stop and resort. It’s all very do-able but takes quite a bit of organization.
Yesterday Kelli was home and did a lot of cutting out of the pieces. That helped a lot!! We still need to cut the blue portion of the blocks.
Little by little we will plug away at it. Our daughter Kayla called and she is planning to come a couple days and help too.
Country Threads pulled their UFO number on Saturday and it’s #4. That’s an easy one for me. It’s a star quilt. The top is already finished. The backing is already pieced. All I need to do is quilt and bind it. The weather is calling for more rain so the next rainy day, I am going to load it on the frame and start quilting.

Double Wedding Ring quilts are my absolute favorite to look at but they are Sooooo much work. Good luck! Keep plugging away. It seems you have a lot of help.

Yum – blue and yellow! That’s going to be so pretty.
It’s going to be beautiful. I bought the templates quite a while ago but haven’t worked up the courage to try it yet. Looking forward to seeing yours finished. :)
GORGEOUS color combination on this quilt – what a wonderful wedding gift it will be!
My favorite quilt pattern, but I am afraid to tackle it. Seeing yours it look a lot easier then I thought it would be. I just love following you. Thanks so much for letting us into your family and quilting life.
