Last week I put two quilts on the frame and quilted them….
This is Criss Cross Applesauce and Hip to be Square. Â I had intended on binding them yesterday but the machine quilting bug struck and I went with it and quilted three more quilts.
All three of these quilt tops were sent to me by a blog reader to be quilted and used as charity quilts. Â I finally am getting to quilting them. Â I am SO happy to have them quilted…now I have FIVE quilts that need to be bound.
I have a busy teaching schedule this week so I am not sure if I’ll get to very many of them….it’s been SO-SO long since I have touched a regular sewing machine.
Typically at this time of year we are mowing lawns, putting in crops and gardens so little sewing time is available-NOT this year. Â It has been cold and rainy. Â It might be until May until we get a chance to do that. Â As sad as that is, at least I’ll be able to get some more sewing time in before I am working outside.

Beautiful quilts – we’re painting the house here so that leaves little time in between watching the grand kids and touch-ups to quilt! I sure miss my quilting time too!
Jo, I hve a UFO that is in your UFO pile. I was at IQF this w/e in Cincinnati and I purchased some fabric to use for the sashing. I’m not sure which fabric to use. I blogged about it.

Hi Jo, Sure wish I lived closer to you – I love binding so could help you out with that step. Would love to see a close up of your quilting on Criss – Cross quilt. Have we seen a finished pic of full quilt – sure love it!?

Oh fantastic! I really need to get moving on quilting some tops that I have sitting in a stack.
Whew! That’s a lot of quilting. It must be so nice to see the finish line on such a beautiful stack of quilts.
