What I’m Working On….

Friday I took a little time and put together a couple take along projects.  Life is on a full speed ahead course for the next week or so with our daughters wedding on the 17th.  I put together two wool pincushion projects I have been wanting to get to.  Maybe as we travel I’ll have time to put in a couple stitches.

We also traveled to Minnesota for an early Thanksgiving with Hubby’s family on Sunday.  The drive allowed time for me to pin Perkiomen Daydreams blocks.

Kelli has the strips and I am hoping she’ll find time to cut more so I can continue pinning.  Hopefully this week I will get time to sew the blocks that are pinned.  I am starting to feel like these quilts are within striking distance.

I was working on an upcoming Moda Bake Shop project but stalled as I couldn’t find my easy angle ruler.  I finally broke down and bought another one with my 60% off Joann’s coupon.  Of course, when I got home, I found my old ruler.  UGH.  I hate when I look and look for something then after I give up it magically appears right in from of me!  I thought about taking the ruler back but then looked at the receipt and realized I only ended up spending $4 on it.  For $4, I am happy to have a spare.  Now once my schedule clears, I will back to sewing on that project!  Right now, one of the days of Thanksgiving weekend is scheduled to be an all day sewing event.    I can’t wait!!

  1. Now to put the spare ruler in a place that you will remember where it’s at. We bought a pack of 5 rotary cutting blades when they were on sale a couple years ago, thought I’d put them in a place I would not forget and now I can’t find them and the blade needed to be replaced 6 months ago. Hope you have a good week before the wedding, our thoughts are with you. From northern Iowa. . . .
