I did well this week in the sewing department. Rick and I are getting into more of a schedule so I can plan sewing room time. It’s been a real treat.
I got the quilt that was on the longarm finished, and I got the quilt bound.

I’ll show off the quilt in an upcoming blog post.
If you missed it, Kelli and I finished the John Deere quilt top for Eli. You can read about it HERE.
We took the quilt from this…

…to this.

I needed a backing for this. Kelli was game for whatever I wanted for the backing. I got as far as picking out this fabric. Rosie ended up lying in the middle of it, and I didn’t disturb her.

I at least have a start.
I worked on my Midnight Flight Quilt. I worked on the outer border.

It’s pieced.

The center is finished.

I have the borders pieced. They aren’t attached yet. I need to iron the center. Add the small inner border and then add the outer border. Then the top is finished.
I also popped a community quilt on the frame.

I’m about half finished with the longarm work. I’m hoping I can finish this and get the Midnight Flight top together this week. We’ll see. As of this moment, when I am writing this, I don’t have a busy week ahead. That is always subject to change. So, who knows what I’ll get done this week!!

I love the scrappiness of the first quilt!
Eli’s quilt – and they all 2 1/2 squares? WOW!
Your quilts are always so pretty and who ever receives the charity/community quilt will love it!
Love and prayers
I keep thinking about you and your back/hip pain and wonder if it would be beneficial to sit on a saddle chair for quilting? Long ago, a quilter that frequented Fons and Porter always sat on one at the long arm and the back of my brain says she did it to cope with back pain.
Great quilty progress!!!
Busy, busy girl with lots accomplished!
Your Midnight Flight quilt is looking so gorgeous! The border treatment takes it over the top! I always loved this design but never attempted it because of all the tiny pieces.
Wow this seems like the “old” Jo, getting so much accomplished in the sewing room. It is fun to see all you pretty projects. I like the back fabric for Eli’s quilt. The Midnight Flight quilt is looking beautiful!
Your Midnight Flight quilt is going to be stunning!!
