It was slower in the sewing room than usual…or at least now as busy as it has been lately. I have my tax appointment on Wednesday, so I had to get the prep work done. That cut into my sewing time. I also did a bunch of pillow cross-stitch finishes. Watch for them coming.
I pulled a UFO that a blog reader and friend, Doreen, gifted me. This is Midnight Flight from Bonnie Hunter.

She had a few of the four patches made, and that’s about it. I pulled it out, counted and got a feel for where the project was at. Then I started sewing more pieces.

I have more pieces at the machine ready to feed through.
I also got a backing made…THANKS Ila…for my Train Tracks quilt.

I used leftover blocks to make the backing just a bit wider. Then I loaded it on the longarm.

It’s ready to go. I just need some time.
I also worked on my patriotic spider web quilt.

It went from rows and borders…to a quilt center that needed ironing…

To a quilt center that was ironed.

I love how this is looking.
I got the inner borders and binding cut. I’m hoping this will be a finished top by the time I see you next week.
I have doctor appointments on Friday, so that will cut into my regular sewing time, but I’m determined to keep my projects moving along. With the new cancer that popped up, I never know what the treatment will be or how that will affect me. I’ll feel so much better after Friday and have a plan. In the meantime, sewing is great therapy to keep my mind off it all.

Your red, white, and blue spider web is coming along beautifully.
Good luck with your doctor’s appointment. Will be praying.
Love and prayers
You’ve made great progress! The train tracks will be lovely and the string spider web is really going quickly. It will be beautiful. Good luck Friday at the doctor . The prayers continue.
Hugs
Jo, your spider web quilt is fantastic…one minute it is just in pieces and then, wow, it is almost completed. It looked complicated but you made it look easy. I hope my train track quilt looks as nice as yours….working on the strips. I like the darker colors against the lighter background.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
You certainly accomplished much in your sewing. It is hard for me to believe how fast the patriotic spider quilt came together and it looks great! Is the Midnight Flight UFO a new one? I don’t recall hearing about it before. but anxious to see what it will be.
Your “slower in the sewing room than usual” is actually warp speed! You are so organized and focused. These quilts will be done very soon!
Love your patriotic spider quilt! That came together fast! I am always amazed at how much you get done!
Prayers for Friday!
