What I’m Working On

I am working on something SUPER important…I’m working on making quilting friends.  It’s been amazing here with the Mississippi Valley Quilters.

The other other thing that I am working on, is creating UFOs!!  So far I started Bonnie Hunter’s Smith Mountain Morning, her Virginia Bound and tomorrow, I am creating a UFO of Scrappy Mountain Majesties.

I am so in love with this version of Virginia Bound..

The center is white…the is a thin narrow border of red…then the rest is black.  It is so stunning.  Jo Ann is doing an AMAZING job with this.  Our school colors are red, white and black and I think this would be such a great graduation quilt.

I didn’t take any pictures of my things..I was too busy taking pictures of everyone else’s blocks, goodies and gadgets.

Make sure you take some time and go over to Bonnie’s site….you’ll see pictures of Kelli and goofing around and taking in the historic sites.  If you want to see what other’s are working on, check out Patchwork Times.

  1. Having quilting friends is wonderful. I spent 10 years in a town I didn’t love, but the friends I made at quilt guild were so wonderful. I have mourned not having them for the past 3 1/2 years since living here in Florida. I go back and see them at least once a year for retreats but I miss them the rest of the year.
I’m so glad you have had the opportunity to take a couple of classes with Bonnie. I am signed up for a class with her next year. It is so far away I hope nothing happens to change the plans.
