What I’m Working On….

I’ve been busy….. I spent a lot of my time working on that wedding quilt and that has kept me away from my spider web quilt.  I have another deadline quilt to finish so this still can’t go on the front burner but I’m bound and determined not to put it completely away.  I de-papered the last of the triangles.  There were 13 in the pile.

That puts me over the edge.  I need 256 and I have 265.  YAHOO!!!

Next up will be some block assembly.  I can’t wait.  I’ll finally see what all the hard work will turn out to be.

While I’ve been sewing the Texas Tumbleweed quilt I was leader and ender sewing the border to the spider web quilt.  Wouldn’t it be awesome if I was almost finished with the border before I even got the blocks sewn together.  That’s my goal.  So far I have this little stack sewn.
I’m taking any progress I get and being happy about it.

Next week I’m hoping to show you at least a few of the blocks sewn and I want to show you a cut out deadline quilt.  I really do have to get going on that.  Even though it will be quick to sew, I don’t want to get behind and have to cram it in so much I don’t enjoy it!!

  1. I love watching the pile of blocks grow. Hooray for meeting another goal. Can’t wait to see the assembled top. Do you paper piece the border blocks too? Beautiful riot of color.

  2. Worked hard in the sewing room over the weekend on scrap management. Did NOT make a dent in the pile of scraps. Got two customer quilts done, now to load one of mine. :) I want to focus on some actual finishes in the last three months of the year.
Can’t wait to see some finished blocks next week!

  3. I love how you can juggle so many different quilts at the same time, a few pieces here, some de-papering here and WOW another quilt is done. This one is quite colorful and the black makes it pop.
