What I’m Working On…

The thing I most need to be working on…some housecleaning.  Today I am putting the last little bit into my deadline projects…then off to the mailbox!!  YA-hoo!!   In between all of that Kelli and I sewed on the Perkiomen Daydreams quilt.  Remember how I said I was working on it without Kelli knowing? It turns out she was working on it too.  She brought home a started top with about 6 rows sewn together.  I love it already.  Then like a fool I forgot to take a picture of it.  I did snap a picture of the strip sets.

We have FOUR more boxes all filled just like this one!  We are sewing fools.

I took a couple minutes to play with this block….  I don’t know what is going to happen with it.  I was just playing with measurements and checking sizes.  Someday, I might make a quilt using this block.

I have to perfect some seams and figure out a quilt design.  I like playing with things like that.

I have a quilt in the quilting machine that is going to get done today or tomorrow….I have a niece coming to work on a quilt in the next week so my quilt needs to get finished.  That will be a great way to get me to finish up another project.

I really should be cleaning my sewing stuff up….it’s a disaster.  I left over projects here….a couple practice blocks there…fat quarters from week ago that need to be ironed and put away…a back that needs piecing and of course, more Perkiomen Daydreams strips to be sewn.

Lots of little tiny squares that will make a wonder of a quilt! The triangle block is intriguing. Good luck with cleaning up the sewing area–I find I get into more sewing trouble sometimes when I do that!

Jo I like your box of strips for Perkiomen Daydreams. Looks like it’s going to be a big quilt if you have four more boxes full and still strips to be sewn up. Interesting to see what you’ll do with the triangle… I finished my Jamestown Landing and Hawk’s Nest. Have you pulled fabrics for Orca Bay yet? Sandi

How funny that you were both “cheating” by working on your quilts separately. I guess that is a good sign of a project with a lot of forward momentum. The blocks look like little bits of candy all sorted into the box like that. Waiting anxiously to see them all come together!
