What I’m Working On…

What I’m working on…getting rid of this sinus infection!!  It’s terrible.  Without a doubt it’s the worst one I had.  I thought it was clearing but then it moved to the other side of my face.  Moving my head quickly, bending over..all that type of movement is painful.  I really thought it had cleared.  UGH!

That has put a damper on my quilting big time.  Sitting in front of the television and cross stitching has taken up a lot of my free time.  I feel so bad because I have a stack of charity quilts waiting for me but with the headache that’s accompanying my sinus infection, working on quilts simply isn’t for me right now.

I did manage to get another through the machine before it became too much.

I found backing for two more so once I’m able to hang out at the machine a little more comfortably, I’m ready to go.

I did manage to get the pieces for the last mystery clue done.  I’m feeling too crappy to go upstairs and take a picture….

So are you wondering what I’ve been watching on television?   I’ve said before that I don’t like television but The Man in High Castle, I’ve liked.  My son Karl had read the book and all along has been telling me about it.  He was home the first weekend of the month and we started watching.  Both of us made plans to watch together this weekend too, so that’s what we did.  It’s an addicting show.

The premise is that we lost WWII.  Germany controls the east coast to the Rockies.  Japan controls the west coast.  Of course there are spies and romance and intrigue.  It’s a show you need to pay attention to so you don’t miss things so it’s been perfect for me to watch and half way cross stitch to.

So in truth..the main thing I am working on right now is getting better…and finish binge watching this series.  I only have two episodes left.

  1. So sorry to hear you’re feeling so awful. Warm compresses applied to the face/area help me feel better when I have a sinus infection. I drink more water to stay hydrated, it helps thin out the mucus…and hot beverages generate steam that helps too. Run a humidifier and sit close to it while you watch Tv or do cross stitch. Hope you kick it soon and feel back to normal.

  2. It is a great quilt and looks really nice quilted up. I hope you start to feel better soon, so many sick folks these days. I think I will check that program out, I need something to watch while I sew away the cold days here in TN

  3. I have a lot of sinus problems and headaches. I’ve started putting peppermint on my face and nose. It really loosens up the mucus and gets thing thined out. Sorry you’re sick, hope you are better soon. Love Carver’s latest date!
