Last week I had the hugest sewing marathon I have even been on…I sewed one LARGE 100″ x 100″ quilt. I also sewed a 74″ x 74″ quilt top. I did it with lots of help from our daughter Kelli. I even took two days off from my regular duties to get is all done. Yesterday I got the monster on the quilting machine and quilted it….next stop binding. Tonight, I hope to get the smaller quilt machine quilted. I can’t show you any of those quilts but I can show you this…
This is my pile of flying geese that I was able to get sewn as leaders and enders while I was working on the two quilts. I am so in love with the leader and ender process. If you haven’t tried it out, here’s a link that explains it all. The pieces in the picture are for my “My Red(Blue) Heaven” quilt.
I am hoping to get one of my own quilts into the quilting machine this week. I’d really love to see some numbers change on my stash report.
Tomorrow is Crumb Along with Me Quilt Along Update….You can pop over to this post and check out the links to see how everyone is doing.
To see what is on everyone else if working onl check out Patchwork Times and Freshly Pieced.
You continue to amaze me! You get so much accomplished!
Busy, fun weekend. Can’t wait to see everything! Love the reds.
I love colors in this quilt…very romantic and almost victorian. You’re a busy lady!
Love the flying geese. I haven’t tried the L/E because it makes me too nervous. I like one thing at a time and being in the moment. You have been very busy! Enjoy your week.
It’s fun to keep some quilts a secret…waiting for the Big Reveal! Have fun quilting this week.
I very much agree with you about leaders and enders. I wish I had started it years ago.
What I can see looks good!
I just came across your Crumb Along this last week and am already seriously tempted… what a fun idea, and thank you for the inspiration!
