I have been so busy with the garden harvest that little sewing was done last week until Saturday….
Then I popped open my new box of fabric from Moda and started on a new project for Moda Bake Shop.
The fabric line is Sophie.  I am liking this fabric.  That floral turquoise is calling my name.  See that big pile behind my sewing machine…all of those have dog ears that need to be cut off  and then need to be ironed.
I got another row added to my Pineapple Blossom quilt….then I noticed that there are two pieces of the same fabric side by side.
Check the upper right hand corner. Â Kelli told me to leave it but I am going to rip it out.
I am hoping to get more sewing time this week….that would mean the garden would have to quit producing…..Today is the last day to enter to win the Jelly Roll that the Fat Quarter Shop is giving away here on my blog. Â To find out how to sign up, check out this post.
To see fun things that others are working on, check out Patchwork Times. Â I am also linking up with Confessions of a Fabric Addict…
Jo, you do realize that no one is going to notice that there are 2 alike fabrics side by side except you. I know if it were mine, it would drive me nuts but not sure I would rip it out since you are so far along.
I didn’t notice until you pointed it out and then it’s all I could see! yep…I’d have to change it too! I think this quilt pattern will have to go on my very long “to do” list!
As soon as you discover the side by side pieces, that’s all you see. I would take them out too. :) It’s a fabulous quilt. Can’t wait to see the Moda project.
Jo I would never have noticed the fabrics being alike next to each other but I understand how you have and now will need to tear one of them out. Beautiful quilt and can’t wait to see what you will make with the Sophie line of fabrics!
Your quilt is looking terrific. But yes, even I would change that piece. Sometimes they are so small you wouldn’t notice it and sometimes it’s just not. Looking forward to your reveal on the Sophie fabrics.
I noticed them right away. I would rip them out – but I’m OCD like that. It’s not a hard spot to remove and replace from!
Isn’t this a fun pattern to do. I did notice that piece even before you directed me to it. Maybe because….I had the same problem (more than once! when I did mine) and I tried to be so careful. Your quilt is beautiful! Toni
Easy fix. Just take out that one block, give it a 180 degree turn, and put it back in. 15 minutes of work, and you are much happier!

Lovely quilt and I would just leave it!!!
It is best you tear out and change those fabrics now because I think we both know just how that will drive only you crazy…and me if it were mine! LOL Seems like such a silly thing but gosh…are eyes would automatically zoom in to that location am I right? Hee!!
Jo, what longarm do you use?
Love your pineapples. I cannot wait to see your new MBS project :)
I probably wouldn’t have noticed if you hadn’t pointed it out, but I agree with the rest – if I know it’s there, it’s about all I’m going to see whenever I look at the quilt!
I love the colors in the new MBS project, anxious to see how it turns out!
I received my first credit loans when I was 20 and this aided me very much. But, I need the car loan once again.
Jo, I’d be ripping out too. Not that it looks bad at all, but its just not what you want and you’d be drawn to it every time you looked at the quilt. Nice fabrics. Anxious to see what you do with borders. Sandi
I know that feeling. I’d want to rip it out too!
I agree with your first commenter–but I would have ripped it out too———– most days——lol!
You do terrific piecing work:)
Your Pineapple Blossoms is looking great! I must be blind, I can’t see the problem. :)
Looks like you have a great Fall project going there with your Pineapple!
Whoop whoop! love your pineapple blossom quilt, and can’t wait to see what you make out of Sophie!
