The main thing I’ve been working on lately is my in-box. Oh my, I leave it for a day or two and wham!
I worked really hard on charity quilts and three are on their way to volunteer binders. That made me so happy!! I can’t tell you how happy I am now that I have a good plan for them and am tackling them as they come in.
With all of that I ended up with not a lot of time to work on my projects. I did get the rest of the blocks needed for this pink snowball quilt done.
I also loaded and started working on Jingle Bell Square. I am so happy to be working on this. I know I don’t need the quilt until Christmas, but done is done. This quilts has been so fun to work on. Initially I thought I didn’t need a Christmas quilt…but I’ve been happier and happier each day it gets closer to being finished.
I’m doing straight line quilting on this. The quilt is really busy with all the colors fighting for attention that the straight line quilting seems to be calming it a bit. I’ve always wanted to do a full sized quilt with straight line quilting so this is especially fun.
I can’t wait to finish it up, get it off the frame and see the true effect of the quilting…I also can’t wait to check this one off the UFO list.
To see what others are working on, check out Patchwork Times.
I have been wanting to do straight line quilting on a quilt, but was unsure how it would look on the blocks. Now I’m going to give it a try.
Any tips?
