What I’m Working On…

I’ve got quite a few things that I’m working on.  I have some progress on my Grand Illusion quilt that had fallen into UFO status and I’ll wait and share that on Wednesday when I host the UFO Challenge day.  (If you missed the UFO Challenge you can read about that here)

I’ve been a little inspired to be working on other UFOs project too so…I finished up the string diamonds for Santa Fe Star.  Well they aren’t exactly finished because the paper isn’t off but I did sew over 100 of them this week which means they are all made.  Next up for that project, the flying geese!!  If you missed my way of making the diamonds you can find that link here.

I also pulled another UFO, made a back and loaded it on the machine.  This one was made with the bonus triangles from Grand Illusion.  We had promised to create a pattern for the baby quilt but then both Kelli and I moved and we weren’t able to get that done.

No worries.  We remember and still have plans to create a free printable pattern for the project…Watch for that some time over the next month.  We have two baby girls that are due in the new year so one of them will be getting this quilt.

I made the terrible mistake of sewing one of the Wild Child quilt blocks together.  I am really afraid that the cute little buggers are going to be like potato chips and I won’t be able to make just one and then leave that project along…Thus making it terrible.  I am starting to think I might have to drop everything and just sew this quilt.  On second thought that wouldn’t be so terrible would it??

I’m working on a few behind the scenes things too.  I’ve finally gotten into a good sewing swing.  I hope life keeps blessing me with plenty of sewing time.

Today we’re hooking up with Patchwork Times.  Go there to check out what others are working on.

  1. Isn’t Wild Child a Bonnie quilt? Love it and that blue is a great color! Do you know what color it is and the manufacturer?

  2. I might have to start Santa Fe Star. I loved the way you showed how you make your diamonds. I have phone book pages left over from making the strings for Jamestown Landing

  3. Is there some way to navigate to older or newer posts on your blog? I keep looking for a place to click but can’t find it. :-(
