I made progress on my Garden Party blocks. I working really hard on them here and there then Friday night I was pedal to the metal and got lots done….
Last week I was at 22 blocks finished….
This week I have 81. I was impressed it’s the first time in a bit that I really feel like I truly made progress. Best yet, I even got more blocks cut out.
Hopefully I’ll be able to tackle another bunch this week.
Kelli was home over the weekend and we sewed a good chunk of time on Friday late night, Saturday and some more on Sunday. We’re putting together a quilt for a project. It’s feels good to be doing that again too. The quilt is completely and totally scrappy. We’re excited about it. We decided to put all those awesome fabrics that blog readers have sent us to good use. I can’t wait to show you!
I am hoping for more sewing time this week but Hubby does have the dirt in around the north side of the house and I’m thinking I’ll need to spend some of my time this week planting that space.

How fun that you sew with your daughter. I find sewing with friends makes the time fly by and lots gets done without really noticing.
I still love your blocks.
It is going to be a beautiful quilt, love the reds!
This ha nothing to do with today’s post but wanted to let you know that I made the Blueberry Rice Chex dessert that you wrote about a couple of weeks ago for our 5th of July cook out and it was a huge hit. My son has Celiac Spru but is bad about eating Gluten Free things ( what can I say he is 28 and knows what is best for him) and even he loved it. Thanks for a great recipe!
Love the fabrics! I have been thinking about doing this one also!!
