Kelli here…
I am finally done with my heavy schedule of nursing classes and can take a break and sew again. Â I’ll have a few summer classes but I’m not expecting them to be really hard so hopefully I’ll have lots more sewing time.
I’ve tried to make all of Jason’s cousins a quilt at some time. Â I made one for a cousin after he was laid up…this time, I’m making one as a graduation present. Â Awhile ago when his cousin was visiting I showed her a few of the quilts that I had started. Â She was especially excited about Blue Skies. Â If you haven’t seen it, the quilt is in Bonnie Hunter’s book String Fling.
I started it a long time ago but with Sarah’s graduation close at hand, I decided if I hurry, I just might be able to finish it up in time..or close to time.
So I am chasing the clock again. Â This time it’s fun because if I don’t get it done in time, Sarah will completely understand…besides, if I can keep sewing at this pace, I actually think I might get it done on time.
It’s so good to be sewing again. Â I really missed it. Â Here’s to hoping this summer sends many more sewing days my way.
Today I am hooking up with Patchwork Times.
Can’t wait to see your progress on the quilt! Keep sharing pictures!!! Enjoy your summer break!
Love the farm animal quilts. I am new to this craft. Where did you find the farm animal inserts and what does WOF stand for? P.S. Love your work.
I enjoy your posts as well as your mom’s She has givien us some great book reviews. So I want to recomend a book to her “The Girl On The Train” By Paul Hawkins. It’s a murder mystery Thriller. Well written and I could easily see it as a movie.
Kelli,
Good luck getting your Blue Skies quilt done in time, I sure it will be beautiful. I love Bonnie’s quilt patterns. I love your scrappy prints you are using. Scrappy quilts are my favorite. Please share you progress. Enjoy your slight reprieve from heavier classes, I know they are a lot of work as I am an RN. Hope you and your mom have a great day!
