What I’m Working On….

It that time in the week again…Time to report in on what I’m working on.

I’ve had a crazy busy week and look for this week to be about the same. Last week a new family started at childcare. That is always a big adjustment for me and for the kids. I adore the kids who started. They are full of energy and cuteness. They come with one down fall-they don’t get picked up until later in the day-but if that’s the only down fall I’ll take it.

I have two new families starting this week, each have one girl…that means another adjustment period but that okay. It’s all part of being a childcare provider.

So what did I get done on the quilting front?? Not much. I have 8 new Pineapple Crazy blocks.

Pineapple-crazy
I’ll take that as progress though. I said I wanted to average one a day and that’s just a smidgen over average. Someday soon I’m going to need to tally up how I’m doing and how many more I have to go. I know it’s lots but that’s okay. It’s not a race and do want to enjoy this project.

We have a giveaway going on today. You can find it here.

Today I’m hooking up with Patchwork Times.

  1. It’s just amazing how much you accomplish, with your home, your book, and your quilting, and now even more so with child care demands on your time! Your pineapple blocks look great.

  2. Blocks look great. There’s quite a bit of work in those blocks so one a day with a busy schedule is an accomplishment.

  3. Someday I’ll make a Pineapple Quilt – yours is so pretty and it’s coming along. If this is where I also say I’d like to win your book, then I’d like to. Thanks. I forgot to tell you that I’m reading “The Forgotten Seamstress” by Liz Trenow. There are a few story lines but I’ve kept going and enjoy it.

  4. Love your pineapple block. I have never tried one as they look so complicated. And I do admire your childcare service. I did it for a year, many years ago, and it was a challenge, especially those late pick-ups. But I had used childcare while I was working so I felt it was a good payback.
