Friday morning I woke with a stomach that was just a little off….I didn’t know if it was the flu, too many things I shouldn’t have ate or just nerves. Â I tried to just shake it off but it just didn’t go away. Â I am not a “lay on the couch girl” even when I’m sick. Â In fact, if I ever lay on the couch the kids wait on me hand and foot as they know, I am REALLY sick if I’m on the couch. Â In the last 5 years, I think I’ve only been there twice…
If I’m sick I just muddle around and try to accomplish something…just at a slow pace. Â I have such trouble just sitting still. Â I did a couple loads of laundry and tried to do more packing but the bending and moving just didn’t go the best so I pulled up the next mystery clue and decided to tackle it. Â I was shocked to see that it was so easy!!
In just over an hour I had it all done and finished. Â It worked out perfectly for me as that’s when Hubby called me from the new house and said that he needed me to come in. Â The dry wall guy was there and I needed to re-tape a bit of the trim.
It’s funny. Â When I started the mystery I thought there would be no way I could keep up-but I have and actually quite easily. Â I am guessing when the big reveal will come on New Years day, at least it has in the past. Â That is when I think I’ll fall behind though. Â The house has gotten further along and all of my time will need to be spent there if there is ever hope of us getting moved. Â That’s okay though. Â At least everything is in units and with any luck I’ll be able to sneak in a moment here and there so a few blocks will get assembled before the move.
In the end that will be a neat story for the quilt. Â I started it at one house and finished it at the other…or at least that’s how I think it will work!
After I was home from the house I was still not feeling the greatest…a little lunch and then I got a phone call and needed to go to Decorah on a couple errands…Still not feeling the best I tackled that errand too.
I’m didn’t set the world on fire with all of my accomplishments for the day but it sure beat laying on the couch all day….that would have been so much worse!

I am behind! i hope to catch up this week though. I thought clue 4 was going to be a breeze, and thanked Bonnnie for making it so easy. But I had to take out over 1/2of the sets of HST and squares, as I put them together wrong. Yesterday I was able to get 1/2 of the sets put back together the right way
Hope you are feeling much better today, Jo! It’s no fun being sick, especially around the holidays. Take care!
I hope you are feeling better. The last 3 days I have been not feeling the best but no so sick I have to lay down. I need to get my energy back.
I am saving the steps so I can make the quilt in the future if I find that I like the design. I hope you are feeling better now!
