I know I always say this but it’s been crazy this week and I haven’t had a lot of sewing time.
I got one quilt off the frame last week and bound.  I love it and can’t wait to show it to you  but I think you’re going to have to wait until it comes out in print.  It’s a current favorite of mine.
I can show you this….It’s the quilt I started using the Kim Diehl fabric. Â I’m going with the philosophy that slow and steady wins the race with this one.
I have a quilt on the frame but that one I can’t show yet. Â It’s made with Moda’s Rambling Rose fabric line. Â It’s a jelly roll quilt. Â After I was done with it I had lots of little scraps left over. Â One night last week I woke up in the middle of the night unable to sleep. Â As I laid in bed, I kept thinking about those scraps and an idea came to me. Â I ended up going downstairs and sewing them together into a little quilt top. Â Then I had a few even smaller scraps left over. Â I sewed them up into this. Â It’s going to be a strip that’s added to the backing.
Now every single piece of the jelly rolls is going to be used up!!
Do you ever wake up in the night and sew?? Â Typically I have never done that. Â I had fun but the next day wasn’t so fun.
That’s what’s happening around here….

I have been having trouble sleeping lately do a friend who turned out not to be a friend, next time I am going to get up and sew! GREAT IDEA!
Great little quilt you’ve made. Not sure my seams would be straight if I were to sew in the middle of the night lol. In any way, my son’s bedroom is too close by, I’d be stressed about waking him up. I did, once, cut a few fabric but shhhh! no one’s to know. ;^)
Your “not getting much time to sew” sure is productive! If I lie in bed awake for more than 30 minutes I get up and sew-thankfully it’s not too often. Not much on TV in the middle of the night. We are empty nesters and my hubby is a good sleeper, so no fear of waking him up. My friends think I’m crazy! But no interruptions so it’s very productive. Usually work on something that doesn’t need much thinking!
