I’m still cutting up shirts. I am SO ready to be to the machine and sewing.
My daughter Kelli came home yesterday for a mini sewing day. She sewed. I cut shirts…here’s what she was working on.
I think it’s WONDERFUL. I made a quilt using the same pattern some time ago. The designer is Open Gate Quilts and can be found in the Cottage Collection Book.
I love Kelli’s version. She is using primarily browns, blacks and greens. When she originally said she was doing blacks and browns, I wondered how that would look but honestly, it’s nice.
Here’s a peak at mine….if you want to see the original blog post about it you can see that here.

Her quilt is really great!
Her quilt is wonderful, as is yours. It is so fun to share quilting with a daughter. I have two of mine hooked now :)
Nice work both of you. I’m sure it’s fun when Kelli joins you in your studio. I love it when my Mom joins me. Sandi
Lovely quilts!
Isn’t it great to sew with your daughter. Nice quilt too.
I like both quilts but I am really partial to Kelli’s!
Isn’t it fun to sew with a daughter? I know my time with my daughter sewing is sooooooooo special!
Very cool setting for these sample blocks!
