Yesterday I loaded my Hopscotch, Butterscotch quilt into the machine quilter.
I didn’t get very far on the quilting…but if you have a quilt machine, you know getting it loaded is the most challenging part.
This quilt is from Bonnie Hunter’s Adventures with Leaders and Enders book. Â It is going to be a graduation present. Â The quilt has been a bit of a challenge as the instructions are incorrect.
I decided to do a leaf pattern on it. Â The guy I am giving it to won’t care about the quilting pattern and I wanted someplace I could work on it without being a lot of pressure to have it prefect.
By the time I get finished, I’ll have plenty of practice. Â Hopefully I’ll get this finished up over the next week and be able to count the fabric in my stash report next Sunday.

I love scrappy quilts and this one will be a great gift for a guy!
Can’t wait to see the whole quilt! It looks wonderful.
The quilt is fabulous! Love that cheddar sashing!
Jo — how much practicing do you do before committing it to a quilt? Do you do any practicing or paper or a white board? just curious. I need to get better with something other than meander and some pantos. Sorry you were so frustrated with the instructions though… Print out the errata page and add it to your book…
What a beautiful quilt! Have fun quilting!
Jo, you beat me to completing this design. So many of Bonnie’s I want to make! Did you look at her “corrections” tab on her website? The graduate is going to love it! Sandi
This is a fun quilt pattern. Love all the four patches. What a great scrap using pattern.
The leaves are looking good…nice quilting design for this pretty scrap quilt.
Neat quilt, Bonnie has a corrections page on her blog.
It looks great! Those leaves look pretty perfect to me. :)
Love that quilt!
