Have you ever wondered what 960 half square triangles would look like all set up in little stacks? Well wonder no more!!
I sat down at the sewing machine and didn’t move until I had sewn every single one. It took a little over 2 hours….I timed it. The ironing of all these little units took much longer and no I didn’t do that all in one sitting. There’s no way I could have done that.
On and off and in between that took me a little over five hours. You can bet I was doing the happy dance when they were all in their cute little stacks.
Have you ever wondered what the dog ears of 960 half square triangles would look like all in a little pile? Well wonder no more!!
The trimmings are in the garbage and I’ve started sewing all those half square triangles into blocks. This is for an upcoming project that will be published so this is probably the first and last time you’ll see any more about this quilt..trust me though, I think it’s worth the wait.
For those of you who might have missed, yep, the double wedding ring quilt top is finished. If you missed it, you can see it here. The top is pretty neat and I’m happy with it…now I am just getting a little nervous about doing the quilting.
I do have to say, as pretty as the double wedding quilt is, and how much I liked the colors, I am really happy to be moving on to a new project.

Oh my! That many hst’s at one time would drive me crazy :*) Looking forward to the big reveal!
The quilt for Kelli & Jason is beautiful!
How did you keep count while you were making them???????
Please give me hope that someday I will be able to sew 900+ HSTs in two hours. Everything seems to take me so long.
