What I’m Working On….

This is one of those weeks that I am sewing on so many different projects that I don’t feel like I am accomplishing much at all.

I did start Celtic Solstice, Bonnie Hunter’s new mystery.  Everything is cut out and I am on my way to getting the blocks sewn.  I’ll have them done by Friday when the new clue comes.

KS-1

I didn’t really plan on my blues being light blue until I opened my blue drawer and I had a whole bunch of light blues that needed using up.  I figured what the heck and cut into them.  I don’t know at this point if that means my other colors are going to alter or if they will all stay the same.  I think the yellows are going to be gold and the greens…they’ll either be light greens or browns…I haven’t decided.  We’ll see when the next set of directions come.  I like this whole process to be stress free.

I was a little distracted by a project Kelli and I are working on using this…  It’s an awesome new fabric line coming out from Moda called Chantilly.

The project is scheduled to be coming out in a magazine for 2014.  Kelli is doing some calculating.

We sewed like crazy on Friday and ended up getting a quilt top together.  We got backing together for two quilts and the binding together for two quilts two.  We have another quilt over half way finished.  I love it when we can tackle a deadline project so quickly.

This one isn’t due to the magazine until March but we really need to get working on some of those projects as I have to get sewing on Kelli’s Double Wedding Ring quilt for her wedding in March.

Believe it or not…I have another deadline project that I am sewing on right now too.  It keeps life interesting.

Today I am hooking up with Judy at Patchwork Times and Bonnie at Quiltville.
Make sure to stop by tomorrow for your “Try it on Tuesday” Giveaway.

  1. Wow, lots of quilty stuff going on at your house – and you still managed to be #1 linky on Bonnie’s blog. Good luck with all your projects – back to mystery sewing for me…

  2. The oranges and light blues look great together! Way to keep up the good work. I seem to have lost my “sew jo” lately. I need to find it, as I started Celtic Solstice, too.

  3. I like your colors! I was considering using lighter gray/blues, I had more of those in my stash than the navy’s I ended up using. I linked up too. I am #188. It has been fun seeing everyone’s fabrics. Have a great day.

  4. I really love the light blues instead of the darker blues. Gee, I’m doing Bonnie’s colors but they really are out of my comfort zone and I so like what you picked:) Perhaps next time!
