I have been SLOWLY adding to my newest leader and ender project….Nine in the Middle from Bonnie Hunter’s Adventures with Leaders and Enders book.
Here’s my stack of nine patches…..
They are all finished so last night, I sewed my first block….
Now is the point where I start to get REALLY tempted…Do I continue as a leader and ender project or do I just finish the quilt?!
I think it will be a leader and ender for a bit longer. Â There’s lots of work to do on the border but once those border pieces are sewn, I don’t think I will be able to resist the temptation.
If you aren’t familiar with leader and ender project…you are missing out on one of my favorite parts of quilting. Â Here’s a link to learn more.
To see projects others are working on, head on over to Patchwork Times…oh and come back tomorrow and see my latest project to be featured on Moda Bake Shop.
Oh, I just love it!! Can’t wait to watch your progress. ~karen
I keep thinking, “I need to get a leader/ender project started,” and today, I’m GOING to do it! It’s so amazing that you can finish two quilts at the same time. It’s awesome!
I do the same thing…work on a project as a L&E and then it takes over and I have to work on it non-stop. Sometimes my brain can’t work on two projects at a time!
I think you go all out on it while you’re excited about the project and then it goes back to the leader/ender project once the enthusiasm peters out.
It’s going to be fabulous!
I know what you mean — I can churn out L&E units for a while. Then I get impatient complete the quilt!
….oops — “then I get impatient AND complete the quilt.” It’s more accurate to say that I complete the flimsy.
Kooool! I can DO that, and use MORE stash! this must be a 10 inch finished block?
I picked up this message via he Yahoo/quiltville list. 8-))) Thanks for inspiration. My Bloglines is almost aMONTH behind!
Love it, can’t wait to see it finished, your projects are awesome!
I’ve been saying I’m going to get a leader ender project going for a long time but just haven’t got myself organized enough to do it. Loving your nine patches though–this is another great Bonnie design.
I love that pattern! I haven’t graduated to doing l/e projects because I get too focused on what I am working on …
Love the blocks, I am finishing Bonnie Hunter’s Maverick Stars and started Classic Strippy for her Leaders and Enders book…lots of fun.
I like your fabrics.
What a fun project!
Great blocks! I have to pull out my copy of Bonnie’s book again! Will admire your MBS tomorrow…
Jo like your current project; very neat blocks and although I’m not normally drawn to reproduction fabrics, I like the feel of this quilt in progress.
That’s going to be a great looking quilt.
Oh I love that!!!
