I’ve been cross-stitching and doing some handwork in the evenings so I’ve gotten in some television time. I thought I’d share some of the things I’ve enjoyed.
1st up…THE CROWN.
Oh my word, I love this show. I can’t help but feel sorry for anyone born into a life like that though. From time to time I look at my own life and remember to be thankful for all I was giving simply because I was born to a farmer in Southern Minnesota. I know some wish they could be born to a family such as the Windsor’s in England, me, no way. I could never stand keeping my mouth shut and not giving my opinion…I could not stand being demanded to live a certain lifestyle or not being able to love who I love.
Oops. I got off on a tangent, didn’t I? Anyway, I do love the show and I have watched every season to date. I’m thrilled there will be another season.
Here is the trailer for season 4. If you haven’t watched the other seasons, you will want to.
You can find The Crown on Netflix.
After that, I saw that they offer the show, Diana in Her Own Words.
It was sad to listen to her struggles but was also happy that she did get a chance to speak out.
I’ve been on a Netflix roll. A movie I watched from there is…
Hillbilly Elegy. The show was really good. It’s a coming of age movie and I always love them.
I highly recommend this show. Rarely do I watch a show twice but this one, I’d be happy to. Can you believe that the older lady in the picture is Glenn Close? She does an amazing job in her role.
This is a Ron Howard film. I think he does an amazing job. Here’s the trailer.
The show was so good. Kelli was over one night and we watched it while we stitched. Admittedly, I watched more than stitched. It was so good.
Another Netflix series I enjoyed was Bodyguard.
Here is the trailer for it.
There are two seasons to this show. It’s set in London. A bodyguard with a military past is assigned to guard the Home Secretary.
If you like drama, who-dun-it, and crime shows as I do, I think you’ll enjoy this. If you’re watching with a husband, this might be a show you both might like.
I watched the next season of Unsolved Mysteries…also on Netflix.
I’m not a reality TV girl at all but Kayla and Karl talked me into watching Win the Wilderness…also on Netflix.
This show brings a bunch of Brits to Alaska with the hope of winning a beautiful home in the wilderness. The show has great landscapes and all in all, for reality television, it wasn’t bad.
If you’re a reality TV person, give it a go. If you aren’t, you might want to give it a go anyway.
I am currently watching The Queen’s Gambit. I am on episode four or so and so far, I’m loving it a lot!
Here’s the trailer.
I hate going out on the limb and recommending something I haven’t seen to the finish but I’m fairly confident that this is going to be really good.
I’ve just given you enough shows to fill about a month’s worth of viewing…(unless you watch a lot more than I do). Have you watched any of these? What did you think? Do you have any recommendations for me?
