What I’m Reading: The Silent Sister

I’ve reviewed Diane Chamberlain books before and each time I love them.  When I saw that she had a new book out but my online library didn’t have it, I quickly wrote a request that they get in an audio book version and happily they did!  The book is The Silent Sister.

I liked the book although I knew “the catch” very early on in the book…what I didn’t know was how it was going to be resolved.  Sometimes know “the catch” makes me not care about the ending but it wasn’t that way for me at all.  The conclusion could have happened in several different versions so I wanted to stick with it to find out which one.

Here’s what Amazon had to say about it, “In The Silent Sister, Riley MacPherson has spent her entire life believing that her older sister Lisa committed suicide as a teenager.  Now, over twenty years later, her father has passed away and she’s in New Bern, North Carolina cleaning out his house when she finds evidence to the contrary.  Lisa is alive.  Alive and living under a new identity.  But why exactly was she on the run all those years ago, and what secrets are being kept now?  As Riley works to uncover the truth, her discoveries will put into question everything she thought she knew about her family.  Riley must decide what the past means for her present, and what she will do with her new found reality, in this engrossing mystery from international bestselling author Diane Chamberlain. “

Amazon readers say 4.3 stars out of five.  I think I’d give it 4.5.  It’s definitely worth your time..so are the other Diane Chamberlain books I’ve read.
