I’ve been on a roll for finding good books. Most of them have been coming from Hoopla. My latest find is Missing Molly by Natalie Barelli.
The book was really interesting and really kept my attention. For awhile I thought the main character was crazy. Then I started believing her and then I thought she was crazy again. It was a big back and forth for me now being sure if the main character was believable or not. I was totally engaged.
Here’s what Amazon has to say:
“Everyone has secrets, and Rachel Holloway is no exception. She’s worked hard to keep the past where it belongs: dead and buried. And so far, she’s been very successful. But now the small newspaper where she works wants to produce a podcast on a cold case: the disappearance 12 years ago of young Molly Forster.
Some secrets should never see the light of day, and, as far as Rachel is concerned, whatever happened to little Molly is one of them. Rachel has a life now – a boyfriend she loves and a three-year-old daughter she adores – and she will do anything to protect them. But to do that, no one can ever know that she is Molly Forster.”
Amazon readers gave the book 4.5 stars. I’d agree. I listened to the book over the course of about 24 hours. I listened every moment I had. That tells me I really enjoyed the book.
Happily I found out that this author has several more books. I immediately went and put them on my favorites list and will be checking them out in the near future.
