What I’m Reading: Her Final Breath

I just finished up the audio book Her Final Breath (The Tracy Crosswhite Series) by Robert Dugoni,  You might remember a bit ago I read the first book of this series My Sister’s Grave (The Tracy Crosswhite Series Book 1).  (Read that review here)

I hadn’t expected to love the first book as it was the “daily deal” book at Audible and I figured they wouldn’t but a good book on the cheap rack..but I loved it and…

I loved this book as well.  It’s a typical who dun it book but it was a good listen.  I like reading series books and I feel I can start predicting what the characters will do and honestly, the characters get so they almost feel like friends.

Here’s what Amazon had to say, “Homicide detective Tracy Crosswhite has returned to the police force after the sensational retrial of her sister’s killer. Still scarred from that ordeal, Tracy is pulled into an investigation that threatens to end her career, if not her life.

A serial killer known as the Cowboy is killing young women in cheap motels in North Seattle. Even after a stalker leaves a menacing message for Crosswhite, suggesting the killer or a copycat could be targeting her personally, she is charged with bringing the murderer to justice. With clues scarce and more victims dying, Tracy realizes the key to solving the murders may lie in a decade-old homicide investigation that others, including her captain, Johnny Nolasco, would prefer to keep buried. With the Cowboy on the hunt, can Tracy find the evidence to stop him, or will she become his next victim?”

Amazon readers say 4.6 stars…I’d agree.  I liked it.  There were a host of people I suspected but I was wrong with my suspicions.

I’m off to add the next book of the series to my reading list.  I don’t want to miss the next one.
