Packing to go on a retreat is always a challenge…what to bring…will I be in the mood to sew on this or that project?? Will I need more fabric. There is a whole host of variables to consider.
I don’t want to bring too much. I don’t want to bring too little. I am teaching for part of it so I won’t have as much time to sew…Stop back tomorrow and I’ll show you what I’m teaching.
I decided to give you a before and an after look. Here is what I am taking to work on….
Here is my UFO #9, Hand Me Downs from Scraps & Shirttails: Reuse, Re-pupose, Recycle! The Art of “Quilting Green”. I have part of the center sewn together.
I am also taking my Uptown Girl quilt that is cut out but not a stitch sewn. It is also a UFO.
Notice ALL of the blocks have a star theme…Yep star quilts are my favorite.
Kelli is bringing the Perkiomen Daydreams Quilt-another UFO- and a quilt we need to finish for Moda Bake Shop. I have the option of working on either of those too. All in all, I don’t think I even care what I work on..I’d just like to come with a project or two that will be ready to put on the quilting frame.
Kelli and I are off and traveling to Okoboji, Iowa. We hope to have some pictures of things while we are there so watch for updates….If we get too busy sewing don’t fear, we have blog post scheduled to get you caught up on the happenings around here scheduled.
I’ll check back in on Monday and let you know my progress.
