Our daughters Kelli and Kayla were home Friday night and Saturday. We shopped and sewed. Here’s a little taste of what we were working on…
These are from Bonnie Hunter’s pattern Perkiomen Daydreams. The pattern is in Scraps & Shirttails: Reuse, Re-pupose, Recycle! The Art of “Quilting Green”.
For the most part, we’ve just been sewing strip sets together. I convinced Kelli, before she left to leave a few strip sets so I could sew a few together….oh I love the little blocks! Each of the squares finishes at 1″. Amazing!!
That’s 12 finished blocks…only 788 left to make if Kelli and I each make one…WOW.

Love it! I was going to pass on this quilt as too many pieces but now I am seriously thinking of putting it on my to do list! You gals are doing a great job!
I think it is wonderful to share your passion of quilting with your girls on a regular basis. Life is good!
How neat! Those blocks sure have a lot of pieces though!
I have several pizza boxes full of 1.5 inch squares from swaps I participated in – guess I’d better get busy as this looks incredible! Great job!
That looks intense. Beautiful colors; your blocks are just beautiful.
Great blocks. I love all the scrappiness.
W-O-W!!!
This will be pretty! Good way to use up those scraps.
That looks great. And thank you for showing the picture in the book. I could not remember which of Bonnie’s quilt patterns that was. What fun to be doing it with your daughter.
WOW!! That is amazing – you have a lot of patience!
oh wow! so eye-catching!
It is going to be an amazing quilt! Working with 1.5 inch strips is so fun, the tiny liitle bits of fabric that remain are slays adorably cute. Can’t wait to see this one finished.
