I am a bit in between projects….
I finished up my Roll, Roll Cotton Ball Mystery quilt and it’s ready for the quilting machine. Â I finished my UFO #6 and it’s on the quilt machine.
I want to start my Uptown Girl quilt….I want to start cutting up my shirts so they are all ready for when my new Scraps and Shirt Tails book comes. Â I am eagerly waiting for Judy at Patchwork Times to pick a new number for the UFO Challenge.
Hopefully I will get this quilted this week so the UFO can actually be COMPLETELY finished.
Judy has a listing of LOTS more Design Walls. Â You can check it out here.
At our house we are in the midst of birthday season. Â Last week it was my oldest’s birthday….Today it’s my Kayla-Kay’s birthday. Â She is 23. Â If you’ve been around internet, you may have ran in to Kayla. Â She is the artist behind the website, www.kddoodle. Â She’s the blogger Kayla K’s Thrifty Ways. Â She is a student teaching right now and she is a server at an area restaurant. Â She is an accomplished knitter and quilter. Â We are super proud of her. Â If you remember, last week I thanked our older daughter Kelli for letting us try our parenting skills out on her. Â Well….Kayla also needs to be thanked. Â Kelli and Kayla are only one year and six days apart. Â So Kayla was just as much a guinea pig as Kelli was….and so Kayla…thanks for being the wonderful girl you are and Happy Birthday. Â I hope 23 is your best year yet!
Wow! You’re in the groove!
How do you like the Pfaff Hobby Grand on the frame? Right now I have that machine and machine quilt on it table top but I am thinking about getting the frame for it as well.
The quilt looks very nice btw!
You are cooking right along!! My oldest will be 23 on Valentine’s Day :)
It is GREAT to finally get them on the frame, dont you think? Or on “the Rack” as I refer to it…Looks like that quilt is going to be a beauty…
I have that machine and old Inspira frame. I love it, infact, I bought a Viking Mega Quilter from a friend so that I could have one for pieceing, which I also love. It isn’t a “true” long arm, and there are limitations, but it gets the job done. It has served me well for 5 years now!
I am really impressed with how much you got done in just one month. And both of them will be quilted soon!
I had twins but I believe having children 1 year apart is more difficult. And yet, how nice that you appreciate your children and say so. What great parenting.
Congratulations on getting your #6 UFO on the quilting machine…way to go!
