I’ve been really busy sewing and gardening this week….My strawberries are ready so I’ve been busy making Strawberry-Rhubarb Pie and I made my rhubarb dessert but substituted strawberries for the rhubarb….it was fabulous!
My goal was to work REALLY hard on my daughter’s crumb quilt. I vowed to get the red borders on…then I vowed to get the outside borders done… Well, the red borders are on. The border that says “Kalissa Georgia” is on…
The border that says, “Dream Big” is on….
I was happily busy sewing more stars for the borders when the UPS man brought a box from Moda filled with this….
it’s fabric for a new Moda Bake Shop project with the fabric line Circa 1934. I stopped my crumb quilt progress and immediately started cutting. I am so in love with the colors. I sewed most of Saturday and have about 160 of the blocks for the quilt finished….yep, it’s a big quilt! I am hoping that this week gives me a bit of time to finish up the blocks and work more on the quilt….so far, I really like it. It’s just a simple “old fashion, easy design” but sometimes, simple oldies are goodies.
To see what others are working on, head on over to Patchwork Times.
Love your crumb quilt! Wow-that is a LOT of crumbs!!
Oh boy, the green eyed monster is rearing its ugly head….so love the Circ 1934 fabrics. Can’t wait to order some. I’ve found out when I do a simple quilt I tend to like it better than something complicated. Love your crumb quilt.
The crumb quilt is fantastic! Love the free pieced letters.
Pretty new project–you sure got inspired with cutting and sewing!
The previews of that fabric looks so wonderful, I can’t wait to see what you make!
The crumb quilt is very cute. Love all the colors.
Your crumb quilt is great! Strawberry pie sounds good too! At strawberry season we always make Strawberry Soup – a wonderful addition to lunch but is just like dessert. Will make some this week.
