This is the year of the UFO for me. I have been bound and determined to work on them and work on them to the finish. Here’s my updated list showing EIGHT finished UFOs this year. Boy that feels good. I do wish I had about eight more finished though…
I am playing along with the gals at Country Threads. Each month they pick a number and that’s the number of the UFO that I have to work on. I hope they do it again next year because as you can see, I can’t finish two UFO’s a month so I need more months. Originally we were supposed to make a list of 12 projects and each month for a year, they’d pick and number and blog readers would finish that quilts. I had enough projects for TWO years worth of por This month it’s #2. That’s a Perkiomen Daydreams quilt. Luckily I have the top finished and a backing pieced. All I need to do is quilt and bind it. Kelli and I have already made two of these quilts. You can see them here.

How are you doing with your UFO list or your quilting goals for the year??
My goals are pretty simple – I only work on one quilt at a time because of having the grand kids over four or five days a week. I’m working on a wedding quilt right now and all I have to do is the binding and the label. My next quilt will be a scrappy around the world quilt from the pattern by Bonnie Hunter.
I am a UFO Queen. . . as in I could make a list for the next 5 years! I have Bonnie Hunter’s Roll, Roll, Cotton Boll to quilt and bind, I pulled out her Little Monkey quilt that I had almost half of the blocks done on and finished blocks last night. I have star points to finish on Cathedral Stars. I get excited about a pattern and then convince myself that it won’t take too long to make, so I can start it. HOWEVER, I have REALLY wanted to start on the crumb piecing one she has been doing on quiltcam. So far, I have resisted starting it. But I am saving my crumbs. I also really need to get busy on more scrap wrangling. . .
You’re doing a great job on your UFO’s! Love the sparkle of your Perkioman Dreams – wow! I seem to have started more than I’ve finished this year, but I’m determined to buckle down the last part of the year and get some UFO’s done.
I too have been playing along in the “Game”. Love all the things I have finished! And I’m with you, I could do this game for the next year, or longer. It’s been fun to have this challenge.
