UFO Progress

When I last left you with my Pfeffernuse quilt I needed to re-trim the blocks.  My string blocks were too big.

Over nap time I got them trimmed down then over the course of two early morning sewing sessions, the blocks got finished.

I was so excited to see them finished that I squeezed in a late night sewing session hoping to get a glimpse at what the blocks are going to look like once sewn into rows.  Hmm..I like it.

Well that had me wanting to see what the top was going to look like so I got up extra early one morning so I could get the top together….  What do you think?

I need the borders together yet but WOW!  I’m loving this.  I have the fabric for the borders so next up, I need to get them sewn on.

I have a few days off over Christmas and New Years so I’m hoping a few of them will be spent sewing…I can’t wait!!  It will be the first days I’ve had off all year that didn’t involve a doctors appointment or medical leave.  What a joy to have a day off just to have a day off!!  I’m so happy to be getting some.

You can find me back here on Wednesday…

  2. Easy Street blocks all done, a few more blocks for the Garden Party setting blocks done, a lot of fabric sorting and organizing and scrap management happened. I have a strippy baby quilt on the machine, but have had some trouble over the past two days. Hope the tech can walk me through top thread breaking/shredding. I just put a new needle in, but am starting to think it was a lemon?? Hoping to spend most of today in the sewing room, just a few Christmas errands to run.

  5. I REALLY REALLY like this! Beautiful!!

My UFO that I’m trying so hard to finish is the quilting on a purple and green chevron and heart quilt I’m making for someone. i’ve never quilted anything this big before (even though it probably isn’t even twin size) and it’s taking forever!
