I’m working on two UFOs at the same time now. Â Progress is boring to show on Pineapple Crazy. Â I get a few block done each week and what a boring post for all of you to read…”look I made 3 more..57 to go!!”….so I’ve been working on Scrap Crystals too. Â This one is in Bonnie Hunter’s book More Adventures with Leaders and Enders.
I slowly sewed all of the half square triangles with the intention of ironing them all over a week or two. Â Being I’m an in home childcare provider I often have anywhere from a half to an hour’s worth of time while the kids are napping to do something I want to do as long as I’m quiet and don’t wake the kids. Â Ironing is a perfect project. Â Look at this intimidating string of sewn half square triangles.
It took me a LONG time to get these all ironed. Â In all honesty, I think it was about a week’s worth of nap times. Â It doesn’t help when I enlarge quilts!!
So here is where I am…The half square triangles are finished and I’m ready for the next step.
It’s not a lot of progress but I don’t mind at all. Â Any progress is good and I’ve been really busy doing other things too. Â Little by little, it will get done!
At this time of Decemeber, anything that gets done should be celebrated!!
I like your colors, this is going to be a very pretty quilt.
I made that quilt this year in the blues and greens. It is so pretty …….love Bonnie’s patterns!
Wow! that is a looong string of half squared triangles. The quilt will be gorgeous. No sewing of any kind got done by me this week.
I quilted 7 quilts (lap to twin size) for students this week. My reward: loading and quilting several of my own tops over the break. However, I need to squeeze housecleaning, shopping and food prep in there, too. I am finally starting to feel like I am on the road to recovery, but am resting quite a bit, as well. Just so you know, I LOVE to see the Pineapple Crazy blocks, as I really want to make that quilt. I am making myself wait until I get some other Bonnie finishes, but I am saving triangles like crazy as I work on scraps.

love your small bits and pieces
I added one of my two ‘slow and steady’ UFO projects in the link up. It’s your ‘Ariel’s Wedding Quilt’. I’m doing the scrappy bars as my current leader/ender. Thanks for the pattern/tutorial on that one!
(PS: I wish there was an ‘edit’ function. I must be in a post Christmas daze still!) The above comment should read:
