I’ve been trucking through my Bricks in the Barnyard quilt….
Here is where I was when I last talked to you about it.
Now I’m here!
They are ironed and counted and according to the count, I am four short. That will be an easy enough fix. I can have them whipped up in no time.
I did find these two in the pile as I was ironing. It looks like a block malfunction happened.
I don’t have the strips cut to make the outside border so that’s on my to do list for next week. I know my strip bucket can barely stay shut so it’s going to be great to get cutting into that bucket to make the border.
Here’s to progress in the next week!! I’ll be right back here to share mine.
Love the ONE block that was not perfect! I have made a couple of quilts with an imperfection or two. Folks love it and think it makes the quilt special.

Finished 2 bindings, got a baby quilt quilted and binding on. I am plugging away at the UFO pile. I have a lot of tops that are all ready to quilt and bind. I am trying to dig out and FINISH.
The hand applique on “Aunt Lottie’s Garden” is still ongoing. I’ll do a blog post when I get to 10 finished blocks. It’s been really busy at work the last couple of weeks and I haven’t had as much time over lunch as I’ve been working through my lunch hours. (Bad habit, I know.)
I liked it so much that when I saw it the other day i dug out some more HST’s I had and did enough to get the basis of a baby quilt together. Yours is much prettied w the red though. Mine is green HST’s w yellow off white and blues. I was putting it together the other day and got all confused. even w it laid out the ‘diamond’ pattern got lost…. RIppit! wish I could post you a pic. I did on Bonnie Hunter’s page.
Not too much progress made on my UFO projects. Sewing for step 4 of Grand Illusion got finished and units ironed, but that’s been about it. Hoping to get more done this weekend.
