I’ve gotten a little bit of criticism lately. The following comments have come my way.
The blog isn’t about quilting all the time anymore.
There isn’t as much cross-stitching happening.
There’s a lot more about my life…less about crafting.
What happened to me?
Yes, I do hear these things. UGH.
About the same time, I saw this from Bonnie Hunter in my Facebook feed.

Oh my goodness…The two clicked for me. I’m out doing some first-time things. I’m not stagnant anymore. I’m not my old tied to the blog self.
I’m out chasing adventures!! I’m excited for the prospect of doing even more.
Since I started dating Rick, I played darts for the first time. I love it!!

I started fishing…this isn’t quite a first-time thing…but yet it is. It’s really my first time as an adult.

I’m having a more relaxed life. I’ve never done that before. Letting someone else cook in my kitchen is definitely something new.

For the first time, I’ve sat down and watched a movie or a game without the need to produce at the same time. I can enjoy a movie or game now. I don’t have this huge push that I have to produce tons of cross stitch projects. I don’t have to be constantly busy. That is a HUGE first for me.
In my old life, my brain was always spinning. I was constantly pushing to get to the sewing room because I had to produce something for a Monday morning blog post. I had to hurry to get to the couch so I could cross-stitch, so there would be something for a Friday morning blog post. I had to try a new recipe so there would be something for the blog.
I wasn’t just living and enjoying life…I was forcing myself to produce.
Another first…I am putting people and my family first. I’m not scooting them out the door in the evening so I can write a blog post.
All of these things happened in the past.
I don’t want this to sound resentful. I’m not. After hanging with a guy who has a great life/work balance, I realized what I was doing was silly. I’m thankful for those past days. They were good days…but it’s time for me to become a balanced person. No more working all the time.
I’m going to keep trying new things…We just got the pool table…so we’ll be shooting pool.

Rick and I are talking about trying kayaking. He has before lots…me, never. But it’s something I want to do. It will be another new thing for me.
In between all that, I’ll still be cross-stitching some…I’ll still be quilting some. But…I am not making it my whole life.
Another first I’m doing…I’m not doing that to myself anymore. I am allowing myself to live life…my own life. The blog will reflect that. Of course there will be many of the regular things…crafting, sewing, stitching, family, medical, hobbies…but there might be a little less of some things and more of others. It will also change with the seasons. Right now, we can go fishing. Right now, the grandkids aren’t in school, so there is more of them. Rick is off because of his surgery so I’m soaking up time with him. I go with the flow, and the blog will too. Likely when Fall hits, Rick is back to work, and the kids are back in school, I’ll have more crafty things to share.
I know some of you who were or are workaholics or lived with a workaholic will understand how hard it is to step away from that type of life, and you will understand and be happy for me. Thank you. I appreciate everyone who understands this change is good for me.
Others will likely just talk. I’m okay with that. They will do what they will do.
When so many people used to ask me how I could do all that I was doing…the answer is I was working myself way too hard, and I wasn’t able to relax, enjoy new opportunities, or the people around me.
No more of that. I want a balanced life. So the newest thing I’m doing…I’m taking care of me. I’m walking away from a workaholic life.
Many thanks to Bonnie for putting this meme together. I really needed a reality check.
Thanks to those of you who understand…
So friends, are you trying anything new??

You go, girl!! I think it’s great!!
Jo, I get it! For first time I have no children 1 hr away, not care giving to parent. Discovering the next chapter is exciting! You go girl!
I enjoy your blog more when you talk about a little bit of everything, as you’ve been doing lately. Keep enjoying your life to the fullest, trying new things, and taking us along for the adventures.
This blog is about you, your life. Life isn’t just crafting, it is about living. I am so happy you are living life again. Have fun.
Oh, Jo! You’ve been so good to so many of us, you’re an inspiration to so many.
Most of us are delighted to know that you’re living jubilantly. This is just another example of your total dedication to living your best life.
Please keep it up!
Love, love, love to you and everyone you love!
sorry but there just are some folks who think their reason for being on this Earth is to “put people straight”.. Please continue to have a well-rounded life and thank you for sharing it with all of us.!! just share enough photos of your children and grandchildren that we do not get shocked when we try to figure out if that beautiful young lady is Georgia being so grown up looking.
I’m getting myself a rebounder. It will go in my sewing room and then I can have a couple of minutes bouncing (or more, I understand it is slow at first) to get up from the chair and do something for my body. I’m already losing weight so I need to tone up the flabby bits. I’m thinking I might fly with my batwings – I can see muscle above them. Last year we took on archery – it is great. Big darts! Such fun walking around woods with hidden targets to aim at. More exercise. We still work on our smallholding, we still have our hobbies (husband goes around churches looking at architecture and cathedrals) while I sew. I think it is good to you system when you change things around and learn something new. It’s also great that you are enjoying and living your life whereas before you were existing. Looking forward to your kayaking adventures next!
Jo you look so happy!
Be Happy and block the nasty ones.
My social media and email contacts get smaller and smaller and I’m finding peace.
Rick has been a true blessing to you and your family.
Good for you Jo. Life is to short. Enjoy this chapter in your life❤️
Good for you Jo! Time to enjoy your life!
You do you! Enjoy!
I am in awe of how much of your life you share out here in the blogoverse (and I know with each person’s permission-that’s who you are). Less quilting? More activities? Dating? New love? Grandkids growing like weeds!
What’s not to enjoy!? The naysayers are jealous? They can simply scroll on by.
Happy Wednesday Jo! One of my quilty girlfriends kayaks! She loves it. Enjoy learning another active lifestyle hobby!
As a widow, I have been trying to push myself to explore new things. Bravo to you for living your life your way.
Keep trying Mary Ann. It’s hard but so worth it.
It’s wonderful to see you enjoying life however you wish. Looking forward to hearing about your upcoming adventures. I haven’t tried anything new recently, but I have been trying to visit more historic sites and museums.
If anything, you are sharing more. I love to see you try new things. It makes me want to do that too. I tried cross-stitch because of one of your SALs. I like to fish too but never do it. I have all the supplies, I may just have to do it. There is a lake in my town. As far as the not so nice comments, I want to think they were out of concern for you and not a reflection of their boring, stay the course lives. Anyway, you live your life as you are and we will follow along.
Thanks for sharing your life with us, the good, the bad, and the ugly. It shows me you are a real person and not much different than me. Enjoy every minute, no matter how you fill them. Sending love.
Thank you Jo for this blog. Spent my life producing, felt guilty for not doing enough. But the last couple of years l have been doing more enjoying. I go fishing with my husband. Took up flying small planes. I would love to go kayaking. I honestly believe you grow or you stagnant. Here’s to no stagnanting.
Great blog post! I have enjoyed seeing the increased variety of activities in your life over time. Coincidentally, I have found myself feeling the same way: In the past, I was more focused on sewing— chasing daily EPP block projects sitting next to my chair to do while watching TV with my husband at night and facing constant anxiety keeping up with mystery quilt drops. Now…I have broadened my leisure interests, including trying sourdough breads, doing reformer pilates at the YMCA, or just sitting on the porch on a breezy summer afternoon and reading, indulging in naps, or a taking off to visit to the arts and crafts building at the county fair. And, like you, I am happier with the balance.
Jo, this is your life – go for it!
Try something new and be available for it when something new comes along. Many don’t have the opportunity or can’t so if you do, enjoy the difference in your life. You won’t regret it. And if you don’t like it, don’t do it again! :-D Like the marshmallow sauce for the sweet potto fries! LOL!
Love and prayers
Congratulations on work/life balance! A lot of people never achieve that. Life is to be enjoyed not endured.
Jo do what’s right for you. I love seeing your new adventures and you living life. The blog is also a diary for your family to look back on all the things you have done together as a family, cousin time and yes your wonderful crafts. This is now your time, your life so soak it up and experience. I love reading all your adventures in anything you do don’t let the nay sayers bother you.
Enjoy the activities while you can! Life is short and it’s not meant to be all work. I’m about to try roller skating again, first time in almost 40 years. In December signed up for a quilt retreat where I don’t know anyone.
Life evolves….don’t listen to the negative nellies. No one needs permission or approval from others to live the life they want to live. Unsubscribe if you aren’t interested anymore. I like the potpourri you share with us! I’m turning 69 next month. I was never ever what I would call a sporty person. So while I continue my quilting and cross stitching I’m going to start a Laura Perrin design and a paint by number magnificent deer. You do you!
I’m happy for you Jo! You do you!
This blog is about you, your life. Life isn’t just crafting, it is about living. I am so happy you are living life again. Have fun.
It’s nice to see you happy and trying new things. I’m amazed that you still manage to do TWO blogs each day!!!! I think that part of the reason that your stitching and sewing have slowed down is time of year and Rick being out of work with his surgery and recovery. It will be a long winter so enjoy the warmer months with outdoor adventures. I enjoy your blog no matter what you are writing about! You go girl!!!!
It’s your life Jo. You do you. I enjoy whatever/whenever you post. I was never a girl who could keep a diary on a regular basis, so I know I could not maintain a blog on a regular basis. I’m impressed that you do and can. Keep being you. I’m happy for you that you’ve found someone to do so many new things with.
I retired 7 years ago to watch my brand new baby grandson. Granddaughter came along, and I have had them daily for 7 years. The first year, I was still in work mode. Go,go,go…
In the time since, I realized I am retired. I have all time I need to get things done. I find I am enjoying life more, volunteering for things as I have the time. Those darling grands of mine will both be in school full time in a week. A major change in our home we are both looking forward to.
You are doing great. Dating, finding a helpmate and doing things together. You have a terminal illness (as we all do in some way or another!) and you absolutely are living life to the fullest. No regrets, and no feeling bad about disappointing a blog reader. Live your best life, smell the roses, kiss the grands, have adventures and do what YOU want to do.
Many hugs and prayers.
I know Pat Sloan has switched to doing a once-a-week video and Bonnie Hunter has switched to taking the weekends off from blogging. That might be an idea for your blog-take the weekends off and just enjoy your life and family. I can not imagine how difficult it would be to do a daily blog. I don’t think anyone will look back and say, “I wish I had spent more time on my computer.” Thank you for all you do, I appreciate you.
I thought the name of your blog was Jo’s Country Junction! This is YOUR life. They are not paying you to produce something to make them happy. It is about you and whatever you are doing at the time. Those statements made me very angry for you. How dare they criticize a free blog about your life. If they want more quilting or cross-stitching, they should do it themselves! Sorry for the rant, but those statements hit me very wrong!! I personally love hearing about every aspect of your life and I am very happy that Rick is introducing you to new things that have brought you joy.
You do you ,as everyone else has said. Age (85) and infirmity are limiting the new things I can try but I love reading about all you’re doing. I can’t do my own quilting now but reading about yours and seeing pictures is a good substitute. Keep doing what you’re doing. Your happiness is contagious!
Life changes and things evolve. I love hearing all the news of your life. If people want something more quilty, cross stitch or crafty, they can go elesewhere. No one forces anyone to read your blog. Keep taking care of you. We only get one go round in life.
I think you are making the right decision. Look at the posts where you go back and look at a prior post years ago. This is more a history of your life than a quilting or stitching blog. That’s something else Bonnie has said in her blog. She wants her family to be able to go back and see what she was doing after she is gone….its a history of her. I think yours is the same…it’s a history of you. You should be able to post whatever you want. We can always choose to read or skip a post, but no one should tell you what you need to post.
I find you to be an inspiration. I read your blog faithfully to be reminded that I am more than one thing.
I’m dealing with a second round of breast cancer at 51. When I was diagnosed a second time, the first thing I told folks is I am more than a cancer patient.
Yes, it is one of my roles now, but I’m also a friend, mother, wife, daughter (in-law), employee, teacher, volunteer, and person who engages in a wide range of hobbies/interests. I engage in my hobbies/interests as they call to me and as time allows.
Circumstances are such that there is not room to try new things right now. I’m in the sandwich generation stage. Once I get past that stage, there could be time for trying new things. Lord knows we have a list. I could also march right into being a hands-on grandma when my youngest is getting close to finishing high school. Either way, life will be good.
I am glad to see you living your best life!
I say the very best for and on you, Jo. People that are complaining could be jealous of your newfound happiness. They can just move along and find a blog that is more suited to their liking and leave you be. I have been enjoying your blog posts even more than I did previously, it feels more personal, like a friend is sharing her life with us all. I always got the underlying feeling from your posts previous to this Season of your life you were happy yet lacked true contentment and a sense of personal fulfillment. Now the opposite of that shines through your blog posts. I, for one, am very happy to see this come to fruition. So again, I say to you, good and the very best for and on you, Jo.
Jo, you certainly have my full support and will cheer you on every day. All of us need balance in our lives and very few of us can have it all the time. It is easy to get caught up with all that life can throw at us. I love reading about your “firsts “ and reminds me to say no to some things, even when I know they are a good cause or I will be disappointing someone. I’m a better person to others and myself if I don’t over commit. And, we all need more fun relaxed time. Enjoy and appreciate all that you have.
I’m envious of your life! You know how to live and do it well! Keep it up girl!
You go, Girl!! You get to run your life the way you see fit and be happy doing it!
(I enjoy your quilting and cross-stitching, but I also enjoy hearing about your family life and the things you do outside of fiber arts.)
As Bonnie Hunter has also said, it’s your (her) blog and can write whatever you want. It’s up to your readers to decide if they want to read the posts. Of course, there are other blogs out there that talk only about quilting if one wants that. There are cross stitching blogs if people only want to read about that. I’m not really into cross stitching, so I just skip that day’s post. I like crocheting, so I look for those blogs/youtube videos. We all have our own likes and it’s okay. I do hope you’ll keep doing your Monday quilting post, “What I’m working on”, my favorite post. Life is about change and you have surely earned the changes you’ve made.
You are living YOUR life!!!! Good for you!!!! We only get one go-around….so live it the way YOU want to!!!
Oh Jo, I’m so happy for you. It always seemed to me that you were letting what you thought were your commitments run your life This time of our lives is supposed to be about how much joy and rest we can squeeze in. We’re on the downhill side of our marathon and we should take time to fill it with as much joy as we can. We’ve all worked hard to get to this point and now is the time to put work behind a bit! Honestly I worried about you and your non-stop life. It’s time for you now for happiness and joy, how ever you can find it. You’ve earned it!
As for any crankers my notes from you have an unsubscribe spot right at the bottom. If you are no longer ringing their chimes that button is probably in blue printing down at the end. They are paying nothing to enter your life and that button is easy to use. Much faster and easier to do then composing a note and having all of us who like you and your notes getting angry. Or just pass by on the days they aren’t pleased with you
Take care of yourself And Rick. Long and HAPPY lives ahead of all of you including your whole extended family!
Xoxox. M
I didn’t realize there are blog “police”! I enjoy reading the blog. I enjoy the variety. There are times the title of the blog doesn’t interest me so I don’t read it that day. That’s my choice. It is Jo’s choice to blog about what she wants, IT’S HER BLOG. All people, blogger or not, evolve over time and things change. There is no way to please everyone and trying to is a burden no one should carry.
I’ve been loving the new direction the blog is going. I can feel your excitement and happiness in your words. You’re giving us the message that happiness is out there if you’re brave enough to look for it. And as someone once said, you can’t please all of the people all of the time. Keep on keeping on!
Just enjoy life and don’t worry about what folks say. Everyone has an opinion but unless you’re doing something harmful to yourself it doesn’t matter what folks think. They can find other blogs if they don’t want to read what you write. You only have one life so live it your way. Just be you ’cause we love ya!
So happy for you Jo! You should always live life how YOU feel best, not other people. I love hearing about your life outside of crafting.
All the best to you
Yep I totally understand. Reached that realization myself recently. I love reading you blog…no matter what you write about. It’s your blog.
With your new perspective on things you will enjoy your creativity so much more!! Cheers. Betty
Jo, I’m always thrilled to get your emails. They are filled with beautiful thoughts, lots of updates on your family, projects, and life in general. I’m so happy that you are happy and doing things that many of us would love to do. Life would be boring if we didn’t try new things. Ignore the negative comments because there are a lot of people who go through life with a negative attitude. There are so many of us who love you because you bring joy to your blog. Thank you!
I have so enjoyed reading your blog since I found you several years ago! I am so happy for you and Rick and your life together now! You do you!!!❤️
I am excited for you. I think it is a lot to do with role changes. Aging, losing loved ones, and retiring puts life into perspective. We identify ourselves as a hard worker, a parent, a spouse, a care giver, and then one day that all changes. We become retired, a widow, and a grandparent and now live on your own and responsible for yourself. Sometimes all at once. We see the world and life differently. Huge adjustments while mourning the losses and finding where you fit in. I believe you do great at finding your balance. What is that you say so many times? You do you..
Hey, it’s your blog, your life and you can write whatever you want! If others aren’t happy, they can just skip it and move on. You have to live for you, not everyone else. Go have fun, learn new things and share what makes you happy. I enjoy everything you write about, it’s fun and interesting and I am encouraged by your take on life. Enjoy it!
Excellent positive attitude! You are leading a wonderful fulfilling life that suits you. Keep doing what you like.
I cannot understand why someone would complain about what you put in your blog. There are so many quilt only or stitch only blog out there for folks to follow. I love your blog, your attitude about your life, your family and all that goes on in that house!! Pure entertainment for me. Keep doing you!!!
Live your best life! If you can share it with us, we will always appreciate that.
I understand your need to enjoy and live life to the fullest and I’m so proud of you for facing your situation and making changes.
I am trying to learn to live a new and different life around illness and not being able to do everything I used to. I can still quilt, just not as fast as I used to. Last year I had kidney cancer and lost my left kidney to it. Now I’m in moderate failure of my right kidney.
I fully support your goal of a more balanced life and enjoying things for the first time. Pack in all the happiness and experiences while you are able to!! At 80 years old in October, my firsts are limited, but I’ll grab any that come by!!
Oh no Linda. I didn’t know you had medical issues. I’ll be thinking of you. Jo
Jo, I’m so happy for you and your new life balance. It’s great to have work to do, but it’s also great to relax and enjoy the life you’ve worked hard for. A time for you and Rick to enjoy each other. You both look very happy.
How is Rick’s wrist? Take care
Well said! I look forward to reading about your adventures in sewing, cross stitching, thrifting, cooking, and gardening. I feel like I know your family and Rick. I like hearing how they’re doing and and what you’re doing with them. Your attitude about medical reports is always positive and informative. Since I have CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia), your outlook is encouraging to me. Keep on keepin’ on!
It’s ridiculous for people to criticize you for living your life the way you want to! I love your blog and find it very interesting. Love to see photos of the family and of your new adventures. If the blog just covered one or two areas of your life, it would be very boring. I say keep doing what you are doing!
Good for you Jo. I and probably many others have noticed your blog shines with happiness now. That is what is most important. I enjoy all parts of the blog. Keep doing what you are doing.
Whatever you share, that’s your choice, and if I personally don’t enjoy cross-stitch I just skip those posts.
Life is waaay too short to just work, work, work & be productive all the time. Life is also to enjoy, to have fun! Good for you for figuring that out! Just keep sharing for your readers’ enjoyment, please, ha ha.
Dear Jo, have long enjoyed your blog with its mixture of crafts, sewing, cooking, medical, and family – especially family. I am so happy for you and Rick! You are doing the right thing with your life and I wish you all happiness. Yours is the only blog I read and I love it. You have such a lovely family.
Thank you for keeping your blog going, despite the ridiculous negative comments. Some people need to ‘get a life’ … which is exactly what you’re doing … yay for you! I enjoy everything you post about … so much variety and fun.
You go girl! Life evolves. Your blog evolves. You inspire me. You give me hope.
Hi Jo, I love hearing about all that is going on in your life, not just the crafting! I get so many great ideas from you about all sorts of things. Thank you for sharing all you do with us.
I have often wondered how you get so much done. Kudos to you for taking a step back. You have always made time for people around you. To see you making time for yourself is delightful Keep up the good work. Thanks for still blogging. Many ideas and much appreciated.
Who are these people???!! You have given us so much free content for literally over 15 years now (and you continue to, even though so many bloggers have disappeared since). Anybody not happy with your current content has more than enough in your archives to go back and revisit the oldies but goodies if they want (if they even remember them being posted the first time). I’ve been following you for so long and you have shared so much about your life that it was impossible for you not to become so much more than just a content creator, you are a person to me and I love watching you do what you do (and being inspired by you when you’re doing it). Please keep up the good work posting what you want and doing what you want, I’m excited to see what is to come.
Jo, over the years you’ve become a friend I’ve never met. I’ve so enjoyed your family and especially the times with your children and grandchildren and pictures of them. You see, I haven’t seen, spoken to, or pictures of my grandchildren in over 15 years. My son-in-law determined that as a family, they only need two sets of grandparents, his and my daughters birth parents. Yes, we adopted our only child. So the pictures showing your family activities are so fun! Cooking together, birthday parties, etc. But the most special are when you hold them, doing things one on one, and when they’re sleeping. Watching them grow through these many years. But Jo, the really sad part is that I’m not the only mother, grandmother experiencing this. I honestly know 20 parent, grandparents experiencing this. And I’m sure I’m not your only reader that misses ‘family life’s. So keep talking and sending your pictures! And thanking you.
And Jo, I’m glad you’re exploring new things! And that you have Rick. I’ve been widowed much longer than you. I haven’t been fishing in over 50 years! So again, so happy for you both. Just one more thing about the family, has your youngest son Karl ever finished his home remodeling? You use to report on projects, rooms as they were finished. Maybe you both could do a walk through?
And yes, I still enjoy seeing your quilt projects and the many quilts that are done by your volunteers, especially Ray as my husband was a Veteran and so the quilts that are done for the Veterans are special to me!
I have done a couple of your presented recipes (YUM) and have more I want to try! I never got into cross stitch, but I enjoy seeing both yours and Kelly’s finished projects!
So Jo, to recap, I’m enjoying all your ‘old’ segments and your new fun and interesting activities with Rick and your growing grandkids (all mine are over 21 now). Thank you for taking the time to post.
Nancy,
Make that 21 parents :-) ~ two of my 3 grown sons have went “no contact” in the past year. My oldest son & his wife still visit her family, just not anyone in ours. It hurts. I pray for them. And like you said, not even a picture. I don’t understand it. Take care.
They can do anything they want on their blog and so can you. It is your blog!
What an exciting change in your life!! Enjoy
I’m not trying anything new, but I admire you for doing so.
What I dislike about people is that they feel entitled to comment on OTHER people’s life or activities….and this is YOUR blog, not theirs. To those people who feel the need to criticize — go to another blog and take your lousy attitude with you. I applaud you, Jo, for trying new things, for enjoying the changes in your life and the happiness it brings you. You go, girl! I’ve followed you for years and I’ve always appreciated the blog updates about your LIFE – the quilting, cross stitching, family, grandkids, fostering dogs, medical, and all of life’s changes. I’m deeply appreciative that you share with us – those who care about you, and most of all, that you’re happy & doing well. Don’t let those others get you down – their opinions don’t matter.
I have nothing new to add that others haven’t said. But I want you to know that I love your blog. Read it faithfully daily. It lets us into your family and life and I am so very grateful for that. You are happy and it shows in your voice. Continue as you see fit. Hugs and best wishes to you.
Good for you!! You need to take time for yourself, you’ve earned it . I got my first african violets at 78 years old. Wish me luck.
Go for it!!
Good for you! You need to slow down and smell the roses! You have been busting your butt for years . It’s time to do you. It You have an understanding other half. I got my first african violet at 78 yrs old wish me luck.
I love your blog – just the way it is. Seasons change and our lives change with them. I’m a caregiver for my husband and that changes things wildly, but it’s okay. Keep doing you and I will enjoy reading whatever you decide to share!
This is your blog and you can write about whatever you want! I’ll be there to read it! If people aren’t happy they should just move on. I love your blog and look forward to it everyday. I think it’s fun to read about the new things you guys are doing. Just keep enjoying yourself, your family and Rick. Hugs,
Well Jo, I’m not surprised to see all the positive comments you’ve received here…you and your journey are so loved! For the last five years (I’m ashamed to admit it’s only been five) I’ve began keeping an open mind to other people’s way of life and truly just minding my own business unless asked. It’s a journey, but so freeing! I come here to enjoy you, no matter what new escapades you’re embarking on. You are no different than we all are…there’s always room to grow…even the haters!
New commenter… I love reading about your life, family and adventures. Stay fresh!
I’m so happy for you, Jo! You’re out living your life. Good for you!!! Do I miss seeing cross stitch stuff? Sometimes. But I get it. I haven’t done as much cross stitch, either because it’s summer. I’m enjoying it while it’s here.
I like seeing all the things you’re doing, new or not. Glad you’re enjoying your life!
I absolutely love the new you! It is such an inspiration to me to live life everyday, try something new, step outside of my comfort zone. I love hearing about you and Rick! Don’t stop!!!!
Shelley
Oh sweet Jo, I have always been here for the life and family news. I love quilting and stitching. That is stuff though. Family is forever. I will be here if you gave up all crafting.
Keep living your life with joy!!! It is beautiful :)
I’ve never minded that the blog is about you and yours, I never minded the cross stitch, even though Its not for me….I do miss the quilts, but there are plenty to see. I love that you are taking time for yourself. My DH hasn’t been well and I’ve found limited time to sew, and rip and sew and rip again ( bc I’m distracted) Reading books, re reading them bc I’m distracted…. we can have to much going on and just need to chill.
I love that you are trying new things and deciding if you like them or not. I’m trying Kayaking as a first and I hope I don’t tip over, lol. I also hung drywall with my husband in our garage, and our daughters garage this past year, and we decided we are glad that we don’t do this for a living. This is your blog, so you do you and don’t worry about those who don’t agree with the new direction in your life. So glad that Rick is in your life and you get to try new things for both of you.
Awesome Kim!! We hope to get kayaks that you can sit on top of.
Very happy you have found someone that you can enjoy life together! Wonderful to hear about the new things you are doing or learning, Keep It Up!
You and Rick deserve to do what you want at this stage in life so grab the bull by the horns and get to it!
Jo- CONGRATULATIONS to you for your new view of life! It is wonderful to hear you having fun, enjoying a new love, your family, (especially the grand children!) and your time of relative good health! I am so happy to read about your joy with fishing, and all the other new things you are doing! Quilters and cross stitchers don’t have to just do those things, they can enjoy many other aspects of life and living too! YOU GO GIRL! Have fun, and don’t allow anyone to rain on your parade! Sincerely, Brenda King, Bend, Oregon
Yes, definitely take care of you & enjoy taking care of you. ♡☆♡ A pastor i listen to says “People’s approval or disapproval means nothing to me because God approved me long ago” ~~ I think that is a good way to put it. :-)
Darts, fishing & playing pool all look like awesome new things to enjoy!
You’re an inspiration to me. You are awesome. ♡ thank you for being you ♡
