Try it on Tuesday: Jelly Roll Dreams

D&C Publishing sent me a box of goodies to review. In the box was their book, “Jelly Roll Dreams” compiled by Pam and Nicky Lintott.

If you are a fan of pre cuts, particularly jelly rolls, you’ll love this book.  One of the reasons I like the book is that the quilts don’t look like they were made from jelly rolls.

I am a real fan of star quilts so of course I loved this one.

Here’s a variation on the fist quilt…I love this one too.

Check out this wreath quilt.  Isn’t that fun?

This pinwheel quilt is one that I can definitely see myself making as a donation quilt.

The quilts are all large throws.  Each is made with one jelly roll plus extra yardage.

There are twelve designs in all.

Each quilt is shown in two different color ways.  I love that.

I am sorry to say readers, I am keeping this book.  I am sure that I will someday sew one of these as a donation quilt.   They are all so fun and I do have a couple jelly rolls lurking around here that would work perfectly in these projects.

  1. Yes, that book looks like a keeper. But, fortunately for the rest of us, I’ve seen other books by those authors at JoAnn’s, so I’ll just keep my eyes peeled for this one when I have a 50% off coupon in my hot little hands. The pinwheel quilt and that lovely little pink and chocolate one in the last photo really appealed to me.

  2. Yeah, yeah, you keep it and I had to go order it!!! I make my own “jelly rolls” and love patterns that don’t look like they were made from jelly rolls!!! It’s all your fault that I had to order it (and 7 other books :O) – I certainly hope you are willing to accept responsibility for this, young lady!!! Yeah, I’ll pay the bill, but the rest is all on you!!!!!
