Try it on Tuesday: “A Quilting Life”

The great people over at C&T Publishing recently me a ebook copy of A Quilting Life: Creating a Handmade Home by Sheri Mcconnell.  You might know Sherri from her awesome quilting blog, A Quilt Life.  In fact, Sherri’s blog was one of the first blogs I ever read.

If you like Sherri’s blog, you’ll love the book.  It’s filled with fun projects in bright colors.

As soon as I saw this tote with the hexagons on it, I have been trying to think of where I could squeeze in some time to make one.

This little quilt would be perfect for a throw quilt…simple design yet very cute.

The book gives you lots of bang for your buck with 19 different projects included.  Projects range from pillows, table toppers, bags to wall hangings and quilts for the house and nursery.

The projects are quick with many being able to be finished over a weekend.  If you are a pillow gal, you’ll find lots in here to love.

Sad but true, I do not have a copy to give away.  I sure wish I did because this book can appeal to beginner for those wanting small projects to build confidence to advance quilters who are looking for projects to teach or quick gift projects.

Once we get out new house and I start decorating, I would love to make this pillow in some civil war prints….but for now, I am just going to have to dream about projects I’ll finish!!
