Some time ago Kelli and I were asked to join the celebration of Olfa’s 35th Anniversary. Â In doing so we were asked to make a block for a quilt that was going to be put together to celebrate.

I am always curious to see how the projects come together and was delighted when I say Stitch by Stitch’s blog showing the quilt in it’s entirety.  Kathy-o was the machine quilter of this beauty and has several pictures to share.
Our block is the 4th row over and the 4th one down. Â The VERY black one. Â Don’t you think the person who put the quilt top together did an awesome job of setting and color selection?? Â I sure do. Â I think it’s a big challenge to bring blocks together that other people have sewn.

Nice Honor! My MIL bought me my first Olia ruller and mat. I had no idea how to use it. I had made 1 quilt at that time. I took a class. I have to say I was not really very comfortable w it. But such a difference to cut out blocks than mark each triangle and cut out w 1/4″ seam allowance. Revolutionary!
